We hired a private caravan which was amazing with great sea views!! The park is in a fantastic location, right over a beautiful bay,
A family of four with two freinds just a great week away. Yes it is a bit like chave city but i'm not on holiday with them you make the most of it, which we did!!! The swimming in pool was great for the kids but i do think they need to open in the morning for adult swim only. I did use the spa and i would say think twice on having your nails done and by the time i got home i had lost two nails not good but that could just be down to the lady. I call and got a full refund.I had my eye brows waxed by Emma and she was great.
The only think it that it gets VERY hot in the show bar which thay have said they will be adding air con!
All in all we have a great time!!

Didn't start off too well as we were travelling with 3 other families. They had all been placed very close to each other and we were on the other side of the park. Lady who gave us the keys said to ask at reception to see if we could swap for a caravan closer to our friends. We went to reception asked and were told we should have emailed that we were with the others and there was no way we could change to a different caravan. Well thanks for trying then... Other than that the park was good, the beach was good, the entertainment was good (even though Chico cancelled, Lucy was good though) and the caravan was clean, well equipped and cold, though this was to do with the time of the year. Thankfully we took sleeping bags and i suppose it did heat up if you turned on the gas hob...

We went to devon cliffs on a sun holiday, got to accomadation it obviously hadnt been cleaned to the best it could we found wrappers, left over kids toy and a razor when we arrived. Also the area where we were plotted it was impossible to park next door to your caravan as there are car parks blocking the area leading to where the caravans are so you have to park and carry your stuff unless the car park has a space and you can drive down but then your car may get blocked in when carpark gets full and not be able to get out also as it is hilly after a nights rain the car could not get back up the hill! We were set right near the beach which was a little walk down a hill.
The amusements were really good for the kids and entertainment of a night was good to keep kids occupied, the swimming pool was the best bit lots of slides and massive pool.!

Just returned from a weekend at Haven Devon Cliffs.

First, the positives...
The park is in a fantastic location, right over a beautiful bay, and the South Beach Cafe is lovely - staff and food, great! There seems to be LOADS for children (although we didn't have entertainment passes) and you can get Papa John's pizza delivered to your van! Ace!

Now the negatives...
We arrived at 2pm and were asked to wait until 4pm to enter our caravan. Not sure why this was as the time was clearly not spent on cleaning the van or preparing it for new guests. The smell of dogs was overpowering and the thick layer of dog hair on the carpet was disgusting. The walls were grubby as were all of the furnishings. The shower head was on the floor of the shower along with the broken rail. We have a 3 month old baby and I didn't find any of this acceptable.
Reception sent a cleaner and maintenance man straightaway. The very apologetic cleaner suggested we stand in a bedroom while he attempted to brush up the dog hair and air the van. We were offered a different van but the prospect of again carrying all our things plus the baby through the mud (no concrete walk ways, no parking outside vans) in the dark to a freezing cold van (apparently our kennel/van was an 'upgrade' as it had heating) was not appealing so we opted to stand in the bedroom for half an hour while the cleaner did his best. To be fair, he made a huge effort but there was no getting rid of the hair or the smell. It should never have been allocated to a family without a dog, especially a family with a baby!!
Oh and 2 hours after that the gas ran out...

As I said, great location and great facilities but totally let down by the shocking level of cleanliness in the caravan. Completely unacceptable.

Room Tip: Don't unpack your car until you've thoroughly checked your van.

My fiancee and myself took our three children for a weeks holiday after having the venue recomended to us by a close friend. We were not disappointed!

The accomodation was great if a little tired at the edges but definately nothing worth grumbling about. However, the service from the young staff was nothing short of outstanding! Whatever activity we did, or wherever we ate right through to the amazing entertainment team we were never disappointed.

It truly is value for money and we would love to go again next year.

On arrival we were located our 2 bed caravan, the beds were clean and made up although qite dusty. The kitchen facilities were very limited, usual pans but only one small pyrex dish. The sight is very hilly. The ne bar being built at the beach front served a good real ale and the staff were helpful unlike the bad management in the main complex who ran out of real ales on day 3 and never came back on for the rest of the stay...

The food was ok with several take away outlets in the main complex, the food at the beach restaurant was lovely, fresh and well served. Another great place is the Hungry Horse pub on Exmouth seafront. The staff were fantastic and food and ales great.

Room Tip: eat out...

We have just come back from a bargain weekend at Devon cliffs our caravan was a bit dated but exceptionally clean tidy and smelled fresh. It had everything you could need except heating! We had a 3 bed caravan and only one gas fire in the lounge no other heating available we were freezing we had to buy thermal clothing and extra bedding we ended up all sleeping in the lounge to stay warm which isn't ideal, I would Definately use this park again but I wouldn't stay in the colder months unless we had heating in every room! It is well worth asking if the entire caravan is heated? As we didn't ask and learnt a very cold lesson!!
The pool and changing facilities were clean and tidy although only one hair dryer available, we ate out every night and the service was quick and the food was very nice! Drinks were reasonably priced. All in all a good time had by all.
