Bosun's Cottage was just as advertised - barely 70 yards from the beach, and handy for the shops and pubs. The rooms are small, but we managed to fit in lots of kayaking gear without too much difficulty. There is a decent bathroom, with ample hot water all day. The house has its own parking space which was a real bonus - the public car park is not far away but is expensive if you have to use it every day. The owner was friendly and helpful ( he posted back a small item that I had left in the cottage before I had even missed it ), but he was never intrusive. I am happy to recommend this property to anyone who values unpretentious convenience over frills and chintz.

We wanted something close to the beech, the pubs ,the restaurants and shops and accommodation that was clean, cosy and comfortable. We got everything we wanted. Martin (the owner with Margaret) offered every help to make our stay an enjoyable one and a welcoming bottle of bucks fizz. Thank you.
We recently visited and had a lovely holiday. The owners Martin and Margaret were very friendly and helpful. The cottage was clean and in a perfect location just yards from the beach and shops. The kids loved the rock pools and going to watermouth castle. Good value for money and a wonderful holiday had by all. We will be back ! Thank you so much Martin and Margaret for the warm welcome and cosy cottage
