Had a week in Combe Martin at the end of August & visited this pub/restaurant twice. On our first visit, although we hadn't booked, we were able to dine in the restaurant. We ordered some drinks & sat on very comfy sofas whilst we looked at the menu. The pub has been modernised and is lovely, very welcoming. Our meals were delicious and we enjoyed our time there so went back again the next evening for a drink.
Would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Just returned from a week in Combe Martin, The George & Dragon was by far the best in the village that we sampled, we ate there three times during the week including the carvery on Sunday. If you arrive on Saturday hoping to eat here Saturday evening it might pay to book this in advance as it was fully booked when we tried on the day. The food is excellent, more than ample portions and very good value.
The lamb shoulder is the biggest we have ever been served.
Can't praise the landlord and the serving staff enough!!

'Ye Olde' has quite rightly been dropped from the name of this pub/restaurant as the interior is modern and uncluttered. We called in one evening but weren't able to eat as they were full so we booked for the next evening. There was no parking immediately near and we did think that might cause a problem for potential diners but on returning the following evening, we decided that we would have happily walked a mile to eat here! There was a wide choice on the menu and the young waitresses were efficient in taking orders and bringing drinks. The restaurant was not crowded but busy enough to give a good atmosphere. We had delicious, freshly cooked food. My chicken in a white wine and cream sauce was beautiful with the chicken being moist and tasty. My husband had shoulder of lamb and really wished he hadn't had a starter as he was determined to finish the generous, tender lamb! We tried most of the restaurants in Combe Martin and they were all perfectly fine but this was certainly the best and we will be visiting again when we are in the area.
