“Relaxing and a great hideaway”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

This was our 3rd stay at Manleigh but first in a log cabin. Perfect base for this part of North Devon. Well appointed....nice to have beds made on arrival rather than having to do that ourselves. Clean and bright. Plenty of kitchen equipment and lovely view of the sea in the distance from the cabin we stayed in. We did not feel overlooked at all. We will definitely return again.

we have recently taken a short break in North Devon. we searched the web for good value holidays and came across this little gem. We would recommend everyone to try it . The park itself is set in a valley enjoying views across the Devon coast towards Wales the accommodation is superb with comfy bed and a well stocked kitchen and even a dishwasher (this pleased the wife) we are keen walkers and this turned out to be a perfect base for such activities. The managers and staff are very helpful nothing is any trouble to them even coming out after ten at night to fix something for us and when you arrive you get a warm welcome we look forward to many more holidays here!!!

Room Tip: the chalets are just as nice as the Log Cabins but just a little less money

Booked this as a CSMA member so I got an excellent out of season price for a long weekend in Oct 12.

The site is probably around 3/4 mile from Combe Martin seafront and the only walking route had some pretty slippery parts to negotiate. Ok for me as seasoned walker but might be worth bearing in mind if the weather has been wet.

I stayed in a Chalet and it was perfectly comfortable with everything you would need....with 4 adults it might prove a little cosy though. The decking outside was a bonus and would have been used if the evenings were a little warmer ... as you can see from my pictures the weather was very good for the time of year.

Great and convenient location for exploring this part of North Devon - get yourself on the South West Coast Path. You won't be disappointed.

Only downside was that the onsite bar wasn't open to the scheduled hours or serving the full range of food, but I suppose that is to be expected 'out of season'.

Stayed here for the first time in a log cabin, very clean, had everything we needed including a dishwasher with tablets provided, plus a view of the sea - perfect. Cabin had an outside porch complete with table, chairs and umbrella, and also came with an allocated parking space.

We have just returned from a week stay in one of Manleigh's chalets. The chalet was clean, well kept and had the bonus of, in my opinion, of a well equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher and washing tablets. We found that the site was very quiet, the staff were friendly and helpful as well as happy to suggest good places to visit. Really enjoyed the cliff railway in Lynton which was suggested to us by the staff.

Would recommend

We stayed for a weeks holiday in May. We chose a 2 bedroom Chalet which was perfect for our base. The Chalet was immaculate and very modern. It has a lovely kitchen with new crockery, pots/pans, cutlery ect, a dishwasher/ microwave. The bathroom was very big for the size of the chalet and very clean. It had a lovely dinning / lounge area and decked area which we were able to sit out on in the evenings. The towels supplied were lovely and the beds very comfy. There are some swings and a slide just outside the chalets which was perfect for our kids.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful

Only downside was the location high on a hill which meant for us with 2 young kids we had to drive to get anywhere.

Combe Martin is a lovely village with beautiful countryside surrounding it. We had a fantastic stay.
