The Ferry Boat Inn, is an amazing pub, it's so cosy, friendly, relaxing. The staff are great, the food is stunning, the view fantastic and the local Sharpen wine a must, we return year after year. We have eaten in the best restuarants in London, but this is our favourite place to visit, by far.

We are hoping they will let us have our wedding on the beach !!

I have been visiting Dittisham for many years with family and for the last two years have stayed here over Christmas and New Year on holiday.
We ate in the FBI on New Years Eve along with friends and the food was delicious and we were well looked after by the staff who are very welcoming.
The location is wonderful and we shall certainly return again.
It is like home from home and really could be one of the best pubs in Devon!
Guess this place is heaving in the Summer (and rightly so!)

Just love this place. Great food, great views, great staff. Small and quirky. Attended on New Years day with the children and had the best of times. Local singers and musicians getting giggy with it ! It was a blast. The place was rammed. Will never stop returning to this Jewel on the river dart ! Love the FBI XX

On new year holiday we visited this pub by the river. the perfect sea shanty old pub, full of memorabilia, live music provided by locals and characters mixing locals and outsiders happily together. we didn't eat there due to timing but gather it is good. Could quite easily find yourself there allday and night!

I had Sunday lunch here after being recommended it by someone who Iived in Dartmouth. The pub is very cosy with lots of local touches. Plenty of character! We ordered beef and lamb, and we're soon presented with our roast - with Yorkshire, roast potatoes, swede and roast parsnip. We were very pleased with this and were about to tuck in, when more food arrived! A dish of red cabbage, carrots and green cabbage, a dish of cauliflower cheese and a dish of roasted veg. Plus fresh horseradish and mint sauce.

As you can see from the detail, I'm a roast lunch fan - and this pub exceed my expectations (many roasts don't).

We were lucky to grab a table, but it's a small pub, so I would recommend booking ahead.
