“Wonderful weeks stay!”

This property is in a great location in Dartmoor National Park. We used the Sat Nav and found it straight away with no problems. The property is located on a peaceful farm with stunning views surrounding. We loved it from the moment we arrived and everything was as described. It has a good size kitchen and I cooked for us daily. We enjoyed cozy evenings with lovely log burner. The bedroom was also spacious andthe bed was a good size and we had the longest and best sleep. the building work, and internal fittings and fixtures were of high standard. The location allows for country walks straight from the door, and neighbouring villages and other areas of interest are only a very short drive away. The owners were very friendly and were only too happy to give advise and assistance when needed; we felt that they genuinely cared that we have a relaxing time during our stay. we felt very, very welcome!. Overal, we cannot recommend this property enough, we are already advising our friends and family to book!

“Wonderful stay at Yonder Shippon”
Reviewed May 29, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

You couldn't want for a more tranquil, beautiful location. There are many stunning walks direct from the cottage, take in open moorland views or walk along magical river valleys, we and our dogs were in seventh heaven! The cottage is small but perfectly formed, it is well appointed with quality furnishing and a luxurious, cozy feel. A stunning location.
Very welcoming and helpful owners.

“Perfect cottage, wonderful location”
Reviewed May 21, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

This cottage is spotlessly clean, well equipped and in a beautiful rural location. For those who enjoy peace and quiet this is the perfect place to chill out. There are numerous beautiful walks from the door and lots of places of interest to visit within a short drive. Horse riding is available locally and, if you feel adventurous, surfing and paddle boarding lessons at Bigbury on Sea - only an hour's drive away.

Be warned though - you may find it hard to leave!

“This is deep Devon”
Reviewed March 20, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

While close to Widecombe this is deep Devon, in the most beautiful part of the Southern Moor. The cottage is charming and remarkably well equipped (now with good internet access) and the walks from the doorstep are as good as its gets. The bed is generous in width if a little unforgiving in hardness and the log burner a joy. Be warned, Devon has some lanes that are narrow, some that are very rough and some that have very hard stone walls on both sides. The approach to this cottage is all three! But don't be put off, this is a very lovely place.

“Small but perfectly formed.”
Reviewed January 17, 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Great place with everything you need for a get away from it all holiday. Tastefully decorated together with quality bed linen and towels. The situation was idyllic with stunning scenery although the roads are not for the faint hearted. The owners were happy to help with any queries and supplied more than enough logs for us. Would definitely return.

“Beautifully situated”
Reviewed October 24, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Very beautiful area with loads of walks nearby. It is a well equipped comfortable cottage and cosy fire. Two extra bits would have made it five star and that would be the addition of a small microwave and a small portable FM/LW radio (we could pick up a good signal in the car parked outside).
