We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Cornwall from Kettering with our 5 yr old son. We were greeted by Danielle and Chris who were friendly hosts, room was lovely with a good quality fold away bed and a comfy bed for us. As it was Easter Sunday Danielle had left out some simnel cake for us and easter choc cakes for Ben. Ben collected the eggs for breakfast which he loved and he met the horses. Breakfast was 5* delicious!! lovely touches, beans in a ceramic serving bowl, homemade breads and jam, real coffee, fresh fruit and yogurt. Ben loved his dippy egg. I dont expect bathroom smellies in a B&B but loved the bodyshop banana shampoo and conditioner so much I went and bought some!!!
We will definately stay again if they have any vacancies!!!

We stayed here for one night on our way to Scilly to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. Everything about this B&B was most excellent: our hosts were friendly, the rooms comfortable and well equipped, and the breakfast superb. We ate our dinner in the pub in the nearby (4 miles?) village of Northlew and this was perfectly satisfactory. Overall, I would rate this as among the very best B&Bs I have stayed in; the hosts are trying hard to deliver perfection and coming pretty close in my opinion!

Outstanding - this is one of the best B&B’s I have stayed at, the owners are superb hosts, the food was first rate, the rooms are spotless and the decor is a beautiful mixture of classic and contemporary, very tastefully done, the enormous bed was unbelievably comfortable too. The log burner in the lounge is a great touch. highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed here for one night on a last minute break to Devon for the weekend.
Danielle and Chris have a great set-up here - the well stoked log burner and cosy dining / sitting room was so perfect on a wintry January evening. The bedroom was modern, spacious and comfortable. The ensuite had a small but excellent shower and all of the accommodation was immaculately clean.
Breakfast was a total treat that set us up for the day - one of the best veggie ones I have had and touches such as the nespresso coffee, free range eggs from their lovely hens and homemade bread and jam were great.
The nearby local pub the Crossways was good for a no-nonsense supper (good veggie options available here too - which was a nice surprise) and the locals were really welcoming.
All in all it was an excellent base for our little Devon adventure.

Room Tip: We stayed in Hatherleigh and would stay there again without hesitation - the farm is set back from t...

We stayed at Little Widefield Farm last weekend and couldn't have asked for a better autumnal break. Chris and Danielle were the perfect hosts and we were truly spoilt. Breakfasts were to die for with a wide variety of home grown and local produce and the little extras from the soft lighting and the comfy chairs in the breakfast room to sink into upon returning in the evenings to the wonderful surroundings in which to take an early morning stroll made our stay magical. We will definitely be returning!

It was my girlfriends birthday and she didn't know we were staying at Little Widefield farm. I had called a day before and spoken to Danielle. She was very helpful, recommending places to eat and she also put a box of chocolates and a card in our room for my girlfriend. The room was lovely and the breakfast was perfect!
Chris and Danielle were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We found it hard to leave especially when we were introduced to there 6 month old golden retriever 'Rosie'.
We hope to go back soon for a longer stay in lovely Little Widefield Farm.
