We had a great weekend at the Ring of Bells in North Bovey. We stayed for 3 nights in room one which was a nice size with four poster bed, en suite and nice view. All of the staff were friendly and breakfast was well cooked from really fresh produce. There was a nice atmosphere in the bar with friendly locals and other tourists to chat to. Sunday roast was the best we've had in a long time and the staff go the extra mile to make sure you are looked after well.
It was a lovely area to be situated in and exactly what you need from a relaxing weekend break. Highly recommended.

lovely little pub with restaurant, good home cooked food, very friendly staff and great atmosphere. We went here as it was recommended by other Trip Advisor reviews and was well worth the visit.

We visited the Ring O' Bells twice for dinner while staying at nearby Bovey Castle. North Bovey is a charming small village and locals love this historic old pub just off the village green. A convivial young publican welcomed us and our black lab into the cozy bar and adjacent small bar dining room (no dogs in larger dining area). Weather didn't let us enjoy the front garden but on a summer day, it must be a lovely spot to enjoy a drink or a meal. Local beer and ale and 12 very well-priced wines by the glass listed on the blackboard. Food was excellent - even the side green salad was creative and different each night. We also enjoyed fresh mussels with chorizo, steaks, and the lightest battered fish (again very fresh) we can remember.

The friendly welcome, good value and excellent food make this a favorite pub of the many we've been to in Devon on various holidays.

Tiny little pub, the atmosphere goes well with the great food. I had the local dish was a bit like haggis but not haggis, ( trip advisor does not allow the word) but perfect.

A somewhat limited and unimaginative lunch menu, but the food was well cooked and presented in this comfortable old inn.
