This is a small property but it perfectly fitted our needs. My husband and teenage son were with me and although this is a split level property there is still plenty of privacy should you need it. Everything is provided except for a cooker/hob but as we were only staying a few days this didn't interfere too much with our plans. Dartmoor is very close and so is Plymouth so it's a good base for sight seeing.

Exactly what it says on the tin, and well presented, clean and recently re-furbed. For the two of us it was precisely what we wanted, and worked well. Personally I think two more people, and it would not have worked, although other reviewers have said they were happy with the arrangement, involving sofa beds in the living area.
Only two small caveats that others may want to consider.
The surrounding location has very poor night illumination for some unknown reason (the lights were in place), probably not a aproblem during the summer of course.
For us oldies, the stairs need to be descended to use the loo, so just be aware of that.
Would certainly stay again.
Oh, and although there was no TV aerial, the DVD player worked fine. I could have streamed to the TV if I had brought my HDMI to mini-HDMI cable to link my tablet. Note however that Internet only worked downstairs, and the signal was not great.

We really enjoyed staying at the Nook. The space has been used to maximum effect and it includes everything you might need for your stay, it was also spotlessly clean. We walked up onto the moor in about 20 minutes and visited lots of the great places nearby by car. We'd definitely stay again.
Very clean, peaceful and cosy flat, we spent 2 days there and would be happy to return during an other trip. Perfect location for tourists to walk on Dartmoor park or to discover by car South Devon.

We stayed at The Nook for one night to break our journey home after visiting family in deepest darkest Cornwall.
The location of Moorhaven is great. Close enough to the A38 as to not get lost but not so close that you don't feel like you're "away from it all". The buildings have been really nicely restored and have a traditional feel.
The Nook itself is Tardis like and spotlessly clean. The finish is simple but really well done. The owners have used the space very well and everything has been thought of.
WiFi was a bonus and unlike some holiday lets which are let down by the heating in the winter, as a December visitor, I can confirm the heaters a) work and b) kick out a surprising amount of heat.
We had a little time the following day before we continued our long drive and took the opportunity to get out onto the moor. It's a real bonus that without the need for a car, within 10 minutes walk you can be on the moor and I was surprised by just how close it was. There's a gentle walk to the foot of a large hill and then a steep climb to the top (chocolate incentives for the child were needed!) and it was worth it. The views were genuinely awesome.
As we were coming back from Cornwall, we came over the Tamar Bridge and I think it was only about 20-30 minutes from Plymouth, a little further on to Exeter but overall, a great little gem for exploring that part of the world.
