“The lovely ladies of Holne”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

We arrived early to check into the Church House Inn (across the road) so called into the Tea Rooms for a cuppa and a piece of cake. The local ladies were warm and welcoming to this middle age gay male Aussie couple and were definitely up for a chat. Loved our little visit!

“Lovely little tea room - recommended”
Reviewed January 24, 2012

Really lovely tearoom in a gorgeous village on the edge of the moor. We popped in after a long walk on Dartmoor. Excellent homemade cakes and cream teas and a lovely pot of tea, helped rejuvenate our tired bodies! Good friendly service and good value. There is also a small shop attached with some local produce. Will definitely return next time we are walking in the area and would recommend to others.

“Not to be missed cakes and Devon scones”
Reviewed November 27, 2011

Stumbled across this great tea room. Really fresh cakes and MASSIVE Devon scones with the classic clotted cream and jam. Also sells soup and sandwiches. Very homely welcome. This place is run by volunteers who are working to raise a heap of money for the community so well worth contributing to. A real gem. The tea room is in a wooden building with a grocery shop at the front in the middle of Holne (very small place so just drive through and you will come across it).

“Holne tea shop”
Reviewed September 20, 2011

Had a delicious cream tea here in August. Run by volunteers from the village of Holne. Cakes and scones and clotted cream all made locally. Served by two men who were so friendly and welcoming and did a fabulous job! We'll be going back!

“A lunch from heaven in glorious Devon”
Reviewed September 18, 2011

Called in the Tea Room having seen the sign at the road junction. What a lovely surprise to find the community has reopened this wonderful place. Dogs welcome, walkers, seats in the garden. A lovely welcome from the ladies on duty. The ploughmans were great, super ham and pickles with lovely warm crusty bread. Fabulous choice of cakes and a great pot of english tea. Prices were very reasonable. The shop had a good supply of local veg as well as basics. Will recommend this venue to all our walking friends, well done girls you made our day.
