A delightful place for lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. Tina & Andrew - the owners - make you feel most welcome and the food from Andrew, the chef. is really delicious, perfectly cooked, as well as being extremely tasty and well presented. We can not recommend Whiddons Eatery highly enough. It is certainly a 'must visit' restaurant, if ever you are in this part of Devon. Remember to take your own drinks, as they do not have a licence, but neither do they charge for corkage - a real bonus. We will definitely visit here again.

A visit to Whiddons Eatery in Chagford for lunch is a 'must'. Tina, the owner greets you as a friend and you enter a cosy restaurant, decorated with blue and white china and a fresh arrangement of flowers.
Andrew, Tina's husband, is the chef. His menu follows seasonal produce and everything is homecooked. You are spoilt for choice. Take your own wine as the restaurant doesn't have a licence.
If only you could manage afternoon tea, too! Delicious home-made cakes and scones.
Evening meals follow the same pattern as lunch, with the menu changing regularly. You need to book as it is very popular.

This wonderful cafe/restaurant offers top class 3 course meals on Friday & Saturday evenings. The food is a cut above the rest and truly tasteful. The restaurant has no licence so you bring your own (from Spar of the nearby Off Licence)

Wife and I visited here for lunch....a great menu and the scenery is just stunning!

The food was fantastic and the service was excellent....the owner (Tina I think) took care of us very well.

If you're going to visit I recommend taking your own drink as Whiddons isn't licensed....nice to find a restaurant that didn't charge corkage though!

Overall a great lunch, we'll definitely be returning.
