Many thanks for your comments I will make sure Aileen and the team read them. Room 6 is one of our largest rooms and facing the river dart and as long as you don't mind a bath instead of a shower this ticks those boxes. Myself and the team look forward to welcoming you back soon...

Many thanks

My partner and I took advantage of the two for £9.95.
I had gammon and eggs, and my partner the haddock.
The meal was lovely and It was a lot better
then we've had elsewhere at three times the price.
We sat on sofa's by a lovely log fire,
and for such a huge place,
we thought it warm and cozy.
The staff were helpful and pleasant

We are very pleased you enjoyed the food offering we have, it's very popular with our regular guests, The new menu on the 21st march looks equally good too! I hope you can come back soon and try it.

Thanks again

Don't be mistaken, this is not the Ritz, but the Dartbridge Inn offers you a very warm welcome from a young friendly staff and for just £15 pppn bed and breakfast is fantastic value for money. The bar and restaurant is smart with comfortable seating with three real ales (if you haven't tried it before make sure you sample the St Edmunds Ale) and a good selection of well cooked pub food. The staff are attentive and the manager Kieron is a star who obviously cares about his pub and its customers. Upstairs the rooms are small and have only been partially refurbished, but the bed is very comfortable, the shower works well and there is a modern flat screen TV and free wifi is available. Breakfast in the morning is really good with a great selection which will set you up for the day. We will definitely be back.

I must admit you found one of our best deals out there and for those still looking try the Daily Mail! We advertise in the on a regular basis. We have spent time and money fixing those things that are important and the rest is in progress. Kiren is a massive fan of the St Edmunds and recommends it to everyone as it is truly fantastic. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you again soon.

Best wishes

We stopped off for lunch laast Friday and took advaantage of the 2 main meals for £9.95 offer. Great value seeing as they are priced at about £8.50 each on he normal menu for the same size portions. Great atmosphere and food. Thank you!

We have just arrived home(back to reality) from a couple of nights stay at the Dartbridge. Could find no faults at all. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Especially Kathy in the mornings, we r very fussy about our breakfast and it was all cooked to perfection and just as we ordered.
The room was clean and of a good size, we loved sitting at the window in front of the radiator, over looking the river dart.
We will definatly book again in February. A big thank you to all.

Room Tip: Room 6 was good if you prefer baths to showers.

Thank you very much for taking the time to give us feedback from your visit. I'm glad you liked our breakfast, I believe it's the best in the market with value and quality so i'm glad you enjoyed it. It's also very popular with walk in guests as you can get this breakfast for two people for only £9.95... I have passed your comments onto the team who will be pleased you mentioned them. We look forward to seeing you again very soon...

Just to be clear - the food and the staff were absolutely fantastic - and the restaurant is definately worth a visit. The problems that we encountered were down to lack of investment in accomodation by Old English Inns, and hence we did not bring our issues up with the inn's management as they had clearly done their best with the resources they had.

We had planned to stay for 2 nights, but were so disappointed with the room/bathroom, we left promptly the next day: Although clean, the room and bathroom (green, chipped with plenty of scale) were so badly dated that they appeared grubby; the room was dark, small, very basic and smelt strongly of perfumed cleaning products; whilst the flat screen tv on the wall looked good, it had limited channels and the controller was broken so we couldn't use it; the toilet only flushed rarely and then took an age to refill; the lighting in the bathroom was pathetic and shadowy at best; the soap provided was slimy; everywhere you walked the floors creaked very loudly. In short, I couldn't wait to get home and have a shower in order to feel clean again - not ideal for a birthday weekend away.
We had felt as though we had found a great deal - £85 for two people, for two nights, non refundable with breakfast -but we definatly would have expected better from a three star rated inn.

I would definate not recommend staying here until they have refurbished, however I would recommend the restaurant, the food from which was delicious, varied and reasonably priced.

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. Being an Old English Inn we are designed to fit the name. Giving the guest a comfortable, clean and pleasant stay. I do understand your comments about the dated rooms and we are on a development program which will see us be rejuvenated to a more modern Old English Inn style. As we are energy compliant we do have energy bulbs right across our business and these do take a few minutes to get to maximum levels and with 2 lights in every bathroom we have gone some way to compensate for no natural lighting in the bathrooms. We also Appreciate that given the dark evenings and cold weather the rooms towards the back of the hotel have not benefited from this and we may in these months look to have improved/additional lighting to help meet guests expectations based on your feeback.
Our restaurant team were pleased you enjoyed your dinner experience and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Hi,
I have stayed at the Dartbridge Inn for 3 nights now and each time I have been impressed with the Quality of the Staff and Facilities.
However the last time I stayed on Sunday 13th January it was exceptional, warm bedroom - dispite the freezing conditions outside - real fire and very warm welcome and great service.

Aileen who serves Breakfast is like my Mother she is so kind, helpful and efficient - and gets me an early starter breakfast, wonderful.

I can say its fantastic and well worth a visit.
