After a long drive from Lands End, we contacted Treveler's Information in Truro and were happy to get booked at Week Farm on the north edge of Dartmoor National Park. The host and hostess were both extremely charming and the accomodations comfortable. Not much going on around, but this is a nice place for a quiet getaway and the free WiFi, welcoming Devonshire cream tea and hearty Englsh breakfast were much appreciated additions.

For the Aug Bank Holiday weekend(2009) while visiting Devon, we decided to choose the Week Farm Country cottages. It was absolutely brilliant. The cottage was very clean, and the bedding very fresh. The bathrooms were well kept and provided a relaxed feel!
Mrs. Hockridge is a very nice hostess, and provided all that we needed for our holidays.

Me my fiance our 14 week old baby boy my mother and sister stayed here for 2 nights my sis stayed in the b&b and rest of us were giving a self catering apt for same price as the b&b as not too busy and more suited to our needs having younger baby .. beds very hard and uncomfortable and floors very creaky decor is dated but you would not expect anything else as is a farm location and old buildings.. breakfast was brill and very picturesque surroundings.. location is good but there is nothing near in walking distance.. owners very lovely sociable people..

Stayed at Week Farm for 3 nights. Excellent spot for access to the moors. The accommodation was comfortable and clean and the owner was very welcoming.

Breakfast was excellent.

The heated pool was great after a day on the moors.

Have booked again for a longer stay in 2008.

I found week farm on the internet, and booked straight away, the owner was extremely efficient, confirming immediately sending us details of the farm and how to get there.
One of the reasons for booking the farm was the english tourism's 4 diamond ratings, so I must say I was disappointed when we arrived and found the interior to be very dated with a very musty smell (although the property is 17th century, I still expected a cleaner atmosphere).
The rooms were spacious, but the beds were very lumpy and uncomfortable, the bathroom towels didn't seem to have been changed, and the soap in the bathroom seem to have been left there by the previous occupants. The lady that ran the farm was very sociable and made up for the room quality. She offered us tea and scones on arrival, and during our stay. The breakfast was fabulous, it set us up for the whole day.
There is a small swimming pool but it wasn't open, which didn't matter as it wasn't warm, the surrounding are beautiful but I would say that Week farm is not really a place to stay for too long, maybe only as a stopover, as there is nothing nearby and it is not that comfortable to stay there relaxing.

We stayed one night at Week Farm in September 05. It's a farm based B&B, about 1 mile from village of Bridestowe.

We stayed in a room in the main farm house. Decoration was a bit old fashioned (not that you'd expect cutting edge in a farm), but it was very clean and comfortable.

The proprietess serves a cream tea with scones, jam and clotted cream on arrival, and this was most welcome after a long drive. Breakfast the following morning was large and tasty, with a good selection of cereals and a plenty of choice in the full cooked breakfast. The stay was very good value for this part of the country.

The owners are very friendly and chatty, without being intrusive.

I'd recommend Week Farm, and would probably stay there again. The only downside is that it is about a mile to the nearest town and pub, so if you want to be close to amenities without driving, then that could be a problem for you.
