Owner description: Located in the Dartmoor National Park the River Dart Country Park has an award winning campsite and is open daily from Easter to the end of September for fun and adventurous holidays and days out for families.Set in 90 acres, with lakes, parkland and woods with the majestic River Dart flowing through the Park it is the ideal place to stay or visit. Children can run and play on our Pirate Ship lake and Adventure Playgrounds and our on-site facilities cater for everyone. The Old Sawmill cafe offers a great range of food so mum can also have a break and our onsite shop stocks items for your BBQ! B&B accommodation is also available throughout the year and don't forget all guests have free access to the extensive adventure playgrounds for the duration of their stay. For those seeking more adrenalin fuelled fun there I sour Dare Devil activities including water zorbs, high ropes course, canoeing and kayaking - instructor lead activities - extra cost. Theres an adventure around every corner!

Spent a week at this site in a caravan and couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Our 3 year old daughter absolutely loved it here as there was always something here to do. From playing on the parks, swimming in the lake and playing in the arcades. The toilets were always clean and the showers were always hot. The staff on site were brilliant and very friendly. We ate at the on site restaurant (Sawmill) one night and the food was amazing one of the best (and biggest) burgers I have had in a while and plenty for your money. Will definitely be returning to the site in future and would certainly recommend it to others.

We recently stayed at this camp site over half term. It was very busy and there were large groups of families with teens and tweenies that played loud music until 10pm at night. There were also couples and groups making a noise, loud laughing etc until midnight. I think they wanted a festival feel to the place. The toilets kept running out of loo roll and soap and weren't cleaned very often. Dogs had to be kept on leads at all times even in the woods on the outskirts of the camp which was no fun for my collie. So if you want a peaceful stay on the edge of Dartmoor - this is not the place.

This is quite a local attraction but not visited since I was a child. Visited on 31st May as a group of 10 & we had a lovely day. The whole site is maintained to a high standard, every where is clean & the gardens are gorgeous. Helpful & friendly staff. We will be going back again & hoping to do a few nights camping there too. Would certainly recommend

Brilliant staff
Beautiful location and facilities.
You should definitely stay for longer than a day - it never gets boring!
We will be camping next year as this works out as amazing value for money.

We have just returned from another wonderful camping trip, we are all exhausted but we have had great fun. The climbing wall was fantastic value, thoroughly enjoyed the high ropes (2nd year), canoeing and the big zip wire. These may be extra but thoroughly worth every penny, the staff are professional and friendly and my 9 year old daughter absolutely loved the challenges. The camping facilities are always clean, nice hot showers and wonderful surroundings in Dartmoor. My partner has been coming here since she was 15, visited every year for 27 years and her daughter now camps here with her family. The lake and surrounding parks are brilliant fun for all ages. Well done to all of your staff and my families thanks to the owner for a fantastic camping destination.
