“Wonderful and welcoming”
Reviewed November 19, 2017 for a stay in November 2017

From the moment I approached the front door I felt a warm feeling inside. This instantly relaxed me for the beginning of our getaway.

Upon opening the front door I was met with a warm friendly atmosphere as the colours and general decor inside was pleasing and calming.

The kitchen is clean and well appointed as were the bedrooms and bathroom. The master bedroom mattress was extremely comfortable.

Everything worked well in the cottage and everything was there if you needed it.

Myself and my wife don’t smoke so we were grateful of this as that terrible smell is so difficult to get rid of.

Everything you could ever need was within 5 to 15 minutes walk from the front door.

Minimal contact with the owner, which is great as all you needed know was given in perfect detail well in advance of our stay..

Thanks again... We will be using you again.

Thank you for the lovely feedback and we are so pleased you found the Cottage provided for your needs. Waking up an hour earlier than you expected must have been fun but seeing the fishing fleet coming in will be a memory that your young ladies will remember for ever!

We are happy that you enjoyed your stay at Rosemary Cottage, and found it convenient to the harbour. You are right there are often wonderful sights of the marine life, and the occasional seal hauls him(her)self out for a rest. Last summer we had a pod of dolphins in the harbour for about an hour, clearly showing a couple of young ones how to catch sprats! Please do come again.

“Rosemary Cottage - and ideal base to stay in Brixham to explore both coast and countryside”
Reviewed September 18, 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Rosemary Cottage is an ideal base for holidaying in Brixham. It is a pretty former fisherman's cottage (and going by the fireplace dates back to the mid-1600s).

It is a few minutes' walk from the colourful quayside in one direction - or to the marina and breakwater in the other.

The owners are most helpful and friendly in their communications and the cottage is spotlessly clean and well equipped.

While parking is not available immediately outside the cottage, it is possible to set down passengers and luggage very nearby and go on to park a few minutes' walk away. The owners provide very helpful guidance.

The two upper floors are accessed by an open-plan spiral staircase that naturally needs some care to negotiate. The two bedrooms, each on their own floor, have exposed wooden beams that add to their charm and from the twin-bedded upper room's window, their are views of the bay, boats and the breakwater - which according to the weather can be seen clearly - or disappear entirely!

We had a wonderful holiday in Brixham, exploring some stunning coastal walks and unhesitatingly recommend Rosemary Cottage - we would love to return!

“Wonderful”
Reviewed August 14, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Brixham is my love. Our 2nd family visit to Rosemary cottage. An absolutely perfect, pretty, well equipped cottage, Everything a family could ask for.
5 minutes walk to town and 5 minutes to the beach. Perfect location for visiting local places, either on ferries or the number 12 bus. Beatiiful costal walks with lots of history and lovely coves and beaches. Mr and Mrs Day who own this stunning property are kind and very helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay here.
