“Amazing views of the bay, fabulous place to stay”

We have just taken a short break with friends here. The view is even better than in the photograph and can be seen from large windows on every floor of the building. The patio has ample seating and is perfect for spending hours watching the comings and goings in the bay and the harbour.
The cottage is like the Tardis, much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside, we were a party of 5 adults and had plenty of space. A really well equipped, very clean holiday house, with good quality kitchen equipment and plenty of crockery and cutlery. It has wifi but why you would want to browse the internet when you have that view is beyond me!
There is a secure space to park several cars but you can leave them there as it's a short and very quaint walk through winding lanes to the harbour and town centre and there is also a park at the end of the road. I would thoroughly recommend it as a great place to stay. We will be back!

“Review? The view!”
Reviewed April 23, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Lovely accommodation on four floors, well equipped for multiple ages with a cot available and a family bedroom ideal if you have a toddler. The lower ground floor living room is spacious and opens onto a great patio, although you should beware the marauding Brixham seagulls. The kitchen is well equipped, although it may take you some studying of the thoughtfully provided manual to get the washing machine running the way you want. The location: great views down onto the outer harbour and marina, and across to Torquay, and much further; and it's a short walk down into the town for shopping.

“A good week in Brixham.”
Reviewed July 22, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Be aware that the property consists of 4 floors, so isn't great if you are not mobile. The entrance is on level 2 with the 2nd toilet, dining room with large round table and local information leaflets, the kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven/grill and hob, washer/dryer, microwave and toaster, and most of the other things you need. Under the stairs is the iron and board, folding clothes drying rack, and crabbing/beach equipment for the kids.
Downstairs on level 1 is the sitting room with multi-channel tv, piano, cd/radio, books and videos, balcony doors out to the terrace (beware of the seagulls!).
On level 3 is the master bedroom with adjoining annex room with single bed and cot, shelves with lots more books, plenty of wardrobe space and generally plenty of floor space. Also on level 3 is the main bathroom with good hot (and plenty of it!) shower over the bath, toilet, sink and bidet.
Up on level 4 is the 2nd double bedroom overlooking the road and park. Plenty of space here also, with dressing table and wardrobe. We felt that this room could benefit by being decorated in a lighter colour as the curtains and furniture are quite dark, but that's just us maybe! Across the landing is the twin-bedded room with large windows set in to the sloping roof, with views over the bay. Also on this landing is the airing cupboard.
Almost directly across the road is the property's parking area, and although access can be tricky if there are lots of cars waiting for you, the parking area is very large, private, lockable, and one of the biggest plusses at this property as there didn't seem to be much availability on the quite narrow road.
At the front of the property are the outside steps leading down to the 2nd entrance, into the lounge. The dustbin is also kept down here.
The owners provided us with bedding and towels and local information, and were available on the phone during our stay if we needed them. They live in Brixham so are not far away.
We found the website slightly misleading when it mentions going inside to use the wi-fi; we now assume they mean inside the library or pub etc as there is no wi-fi at this property. We found this to be the biggest "problem" at the property. The owners told us there is no phone line so therefore no wi-fi, and we think this should be remedied.
The location of the property is excellent. Much has already been written about the views. The shortest way to the harbour involves about 105 steps, but if you follow the other road by the pub, this takes you down to the bus station with no steps. The park across the road seems popular, and has many benches on which to enjoy the view/sunshine/sea breeze.

Thanks for the very detailed review, and glad you enjoyed your stay, especially the location and theparking. We have had wi-fi installed now (the original listing mentioned a Wii not wi-fi, so hopefully now it is clearer that there are both!) Thanks again

“Stunning Views across the harbour”
Reviewed May 30, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We had excellent communications with the owner Tony who's replies were very prompt. The key handover was very easy and uncomplicated. The house was excellent with views of the sea/harbour from all floors. A fully equipped kitchen allowed us to cook if needed, the terrace was great, to be able to have a bbq on, whilst watching the world go by.
To have secure parking was a real benefit as well.

“House with fantastic wiev”
Reviewed April 7, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

We had a great time in this spacious well situated house on top of the hill. The house was well equipt nothing we missed. Everything was clean, tidy and the perfect. Easy to communicate with Tony and Kate. Close to towncenter and the harbour. Easy to park outside the house if the space was occupied there was a private parking place across the street. The best, however, with the house was the fantastic panoramic terass with the most astonishing wiev!
