My wife had heard there food was very good so we gave it a try. I havnt been in before and i found the restaurant area a bit tired and old. We ordered a grill and fish cakes. The mixed grill was nice and plenty of it although the oven chips wernt up to much. The one fish cake was tiny and the rest of the plate was covered in oven chips. Considering the fish cake was £9 we ecspected more for our money although it was nice. The staff were all freindly, i would of preferred to give our order to a waitress rather than try and get past the locals holding up the bar to give our order.

An excellent small pub with bags of atmosphere. Our first visit to the town and it was pot luck in making a choice of where to go. We struck lucky in finding this wonderful traditional pub full of locals and visitors alike. We were made to feel welcome by the staff and customers and had a memorable couple of evenings here. Smashing beer and a rather nice wine too!

If you like nice, honest, pub grub, and a good old fashioned feel, this is the place to go in Brixham.

Has a friendly atmosphere and my girlfriend enjoys playing with all the cute dogs.

Picked this pub because it did mussels! Six of us for lunch, on entering asked for table for six only had two and four per table asked if we could pull them together, no, ok, went to the bar and asked for a tad, no, dont do tabs, you could not do a runner the resturant was down two steps from the bar, asked for 3 portions of mussels, no, ran out of mussels, did think of leaving at this point but stayed with it, the food we then had was very good and the service was very good, also the price very good, which i told them on leaving, as i was a bit gummpy to start with, would go back again for mussel as the ones we seen looked very good

Little pub with a big personality. Friendly staff, good music in a perfect location.
Worth moving down to Brixham or just popping in for a beer. And no... no one
paid me for this review in beer or otherwise. Cheers.
