We visited the Lemon Tree Cafe for lunch and found it a little disappointing. On arrival there was no one behind the counter and it appeared that staff were sitting at one of the tables (some) eating their lunch. A couple of the tables had not been cleared away and there was a vase of dead yellow flowers on display ...never a good look really! Unfamiliar with the procedure in the café I decided to go to the counter to place our order. I stood there for a while before I was approached by a young lady who was eating and apologised for doing so. That said, the young lady was very polite. We ordered an omelette and a jacket potato with cheese and a vanilla milkshake. The omelette was very tasty and the jacket potato was cooked well, however the side salad looked a bit sad and the milkshake was overly sweet and resembled a glass of milk. We chose this particular café as it advertised, that it offered gluten free and vegan meals, which is always difficult to come by. Sadly we felt a bit let down by our experience and just felt that it could be improved upon.
