We stayed here for 3 nights in September. Very easy to find the site and staff very helpful on arrival explaining the ameneties and what was out and about. Pitches were well marked and everything we needed on hand (water and waste disposal). Showers and toilets a bit old fashioned, but very clean and did the job. Plenty of hot water. Snack bar onsite although we didnt use this. About a mile to walk into Braunton and some lovely pubs to eat and drink. We ate at the 'Aggi' and did the Monday night quiz. Our main reason for staying here was its location in relation to the 'Tarka Trail'. We spent a day cycling as far as Instow. Stopping for refreshments in Barnstaple. Lots of birds on the wetlands if you're into birdwatching. Also stopped at Fremington Quay for refreshments on the way back. We caught the bus to Ilfracombe and the driver kindly offered us a day ticket instead of a return ticket as it was cheaper. All in all had a great time and would certainly visit this campsite again.

Excellent location walkable into Braunton and a short drive to the beaches. Large grassy pitches, open and sunny site. Bathrooms were clean, free showers but you have to persevere to get the hot water running in the morning. Check out the awesome fish and chips at Squires in Braunton! Will definitely be back.

Nice and clean showers. Sunny open location. Large grassy pitches. Helpful staff and a big bonus to have a friendly chap offering good value surf board hire on the site. Walkable distance to local pub but fair walk to town. Dog friendly campsite. Fairly strict no noise policy after 11pm which is to be adhered to or you will get a polite talking to from the site warden. This is for the benefit of everybody and prevents rowdy behaviour.

I stayed here for 2 nights on a Surf trip. all I can say is that its a great place.
You're just outside the funky town of Braunton and the beaches are just a short drive away.
The bathrooms are clean and plentiful, the staff are friendly and the campsite is very laid back.
I recommend this place

Myself and my family have just returned from a week at Lobb fields. We stayed in the middle field which gave us some beautiful views (well for the first few days before more campers arrived). The site is lovely and clean and well maintained. 2 large shower blocks with hot water and the pitches are well marked out giving you lots of space.
Our only gripes would be that the sockets in the toilet/shower blocks did not take standard 3 pin plugs so if you wanted to dry your hair etc you had to pay to hire a hairdryer from reception? Also on the day we were leaving, we were asked at 10.15 how long we would be before we left (10.30 is the time to vacate pitches and you can get on pitch at 12.00) we were then asked again at 10.25 - while my husband was helping the family next to us move their caravan! We were off the pitch by 10.35 but felt under pressure by the warden on the grass cutter sat revving the engine and looking at his watch! A bit of a disappointing end to what was essentially a good week.

Room Tip: The best views are at the top of the middle field
