“Between Braunton and Ilfracombe”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

Found this late one evening travelling back to Ilfracombe. Saw the road sign, called in, it's just 100yds off the main road. Small car park, you can eat in the lounge bar or more formally in the restaurant. Smallish menu but enough to please our party of 3. Great portions, good wholesome food and excellent prices. Usual pub limited wine list, a small selection of local hand-pulled beers. during our visits to Ilfracombe over the last couple of years we have eaten there around 10 times and never been disappointed yet. One occasion when we arrived after several other diners we had a longish wait, but it shows that the food is freshly prepared so it didn't bother us. Will be back again in a months time.

“Better than pub grub”
Reviewed August 30, 2012

Wonderful welcome at the Ebrington Arms. The beer was excellent - Otter Amber. But the food............... well you couldnt fault it. I had fresh local Plaice in lemon and pepper butter. It came with new potatoes but I asked if I could have chips and this was fine. I'm glad I did as they were very good indeed but the plaice was gorgeous. It fell off the bones and tasted so good. My hubby had Steak and Ale pie with chips and veg and there was nothing left on the plate after he had attacked it! We had pud - Hubs had Avalance ice cream - vanilla with marshmallows, chocolate chunks and raisins and I had the cheeseboard which had a really good selection of cheese, biscuits and celery. Could have done with a few grapes but really this isnt a niggle because the rest was perfect. With 3 beers and a couple of cokes the bill came to £42. A bargain. Well done Ebrington Arms
