we have been traveling from Barnstaple to have a meal at South Sixteen for many years and always found the service and food of good quality. if one has a pensioners meal at midday the the amount served is good value for the price at any other time we feel the portions served is a little on the large size, but this is of course a personnal thing. At times it can be a little cold in the seating area. the staff are always friendly and helpful , this may be due to the fact that they know us, they however always seem to be the same to other customers, of late the guality of service seems to have dropped off a little this could be due to change of ownership, we feel the new owner needs to have a greater hands on control of the overall day to day operation of the fish restaurant, having said thaty I still prefer this chip shop too the the Squires fish restuarant up on the main road, where one is treated like cattle at feeding time, having said that the food is of good quality
