I stayed at Long Cottage with 2 friends for the Gold Coast Ocean Fest weekend and we had an amazing stay. Karine was more than accommodating to our needs plus much much more! She definitely went to the extreme to make our stay one to remember.

The house is beautiful, the amenities were fantastic, breakfast was yummy ... everything was just amazing! You will not go wrong with a stay at the Long Cottage!

110% recommended

Stayed at the superb Long Cottage with my 4 yr old during the Oceanfest weekend and had the best weekend, we could leave the hustle & bustle (5-7 min drive away) to this quiet sanctuary!

Karine was friendly & welcoming to us both. She took the time to ensure both of us settled (even entertaing the lad) while I unpacked.

The room was immaculate, spacious lovely design, in fact whole cottage has been renovated to such a high standard & a fantastic / huge garden. An absolute plus is the lovely breakfast/ living area where you can relax (with sky, DVDs, book & even toys).

Breakfast was scrummy- lots of choice & nothing was too much trouble. We even sampled Karine's herb garden much to the delight of the 4 yr old who thought he was eating plants.

I couldn't reccommend this place enough or Karine's hospitality :)

We stayed two nights at Long Cottage for a daughter's wedding last weekend and were made very welcome by Karine and Simon. Our room was so comfortable and we really enjoyed being in the quiet of the countryside and yet near Braunton where other family members were staying for The Big Day.

Nothing was too much trouble and we did enjoy the chats we had with our hosts who are informative and charming. They seemed to have thought of everything from a wet suit drying area (which we didn't actually need) and a place to leave outdoor shoes and wellingtons - it was all made so easy. There is plenty of parking off the narrow lane where it's situated and a garden area where you can take the lethally healthy air!

We shall be back!

We booked Long Cottage as we had a family wedding at Pickwell Manor which is 5 minutes away. We arrived at just after midnight with our 3 sons. Simon met us at the door and was clearly unfazed at the late hour. He showed us to our rooms and we were delighted at the beautiful rooms. It was what we needed after a long journey from Kent.
The breakfast was delicious and both Karine and Simon could not do enough for us. They clearly work very hard and it has paid off. This is a delightful place to stay. We want to book a week and use the place as self catering so we get to enjoy more of the glorious surroundings.
Thanks Simon and Karine. We will return!

We used Long Cottage as a base to ride the trails in North Devon and could not have been more impressed. The location was perfect with the first trail 500m down the lane, a dry room for our wet gear (it did rain a lot!) but best of all was the relaxed layout of the cottage with plenty of space for all to chill out. Breakfast was fantastic and a taxi easily organised to run us into the Rock Inn at Georgeham for our evening meal.
