We returned with three other families - a total of 8 adults and 7 children! Ella organised it so that we would all be in adjoining cottages which made the hot tub sharing very convenient! The children had a blast of a time in the pool, the games room, on the new trampoline and in the adventure play area. The adults enjoyed the pool, the hot tubs and the evenings of conversation during the BBQ's outside the cottages. Willowfield Lake Cottages is a really great place to go with a group of friends.

The games room has had some new additions, a massive TV with a Wii and the Table Tennis table kept the kids as well as the adults entertained! There is so much to do we only managed to walk around the beautiful (on-site) lake once!

Book a trip, you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: I'd pick "Swallow" every time :)

We stayed at Willowfield cottages at Easter for 4 nights. The cottages themselves are very well equiped and small but modern kitchen, perfect for a family break and in easy reach of great local attractions.

Ella and Stephen were very friendly and helpful, we were disappointed however that the pool was pretty cold and therefore our kids just wouldn't get in it. Another family using the pool were wearing wet suits!. Such a shame as for us this was the only negative, we spoke to the owners and they tried very hard to get the pool temperature up but I understand it is linked to the outside air temp and as the weather was soooo cold there wasn't a great deal they could do about it. We went to a local caravan park and paid £12 for a swim session instead which the kids really enjoyed.

Very useful playroom with great selection of toys all in good working order. Nice to have use of wi fi once we got the hang of it. All in all an enjoyable stay.

We wanted a base in Devon to do some cycling and only booked here the night before arriving but Stephen and Ella could not have been more helpful. A beautiful setting and a lovely cosy cottage, along with the fantastic pool, games room, lake and walks, just about made for the perfect break. The sun even came out for a couple of the days! After an initial shopping trip, we parked the car and went everywhere by bike. The Tarka Trail is great and goes for miles, Braunton just a few minutes away and several good cycle trails locally. If you want a relaxing holiday just a few minutes from the dunes at Braunton Burrows with loads to do on site and locally, then go and visit Stephen & Ella soon :)

What a fantastic stay! Friends form Uni meeting up for the New year and could`nt have been more comfortable - the cottage was very cosy and hot tub a lovely relaxing addition. Would recommend Woolacombe beach and Ilfracombe was lovely - take a look at the Damien Hirst statute. Enjoyed Williams Arms too! Thanks to Stephen and Ella excellent hosts!

We spent 4 nights here over New year. The cottage was perfect and it was so helpful to have all the childrens equipment. Bed guards, toys, cutlery, childrens dvds etc, What ever we needed the cottage had!
Ella and Stephen were brilliant and gave us so much useful information for our days out.
The pool and playroom were brilliant too and our 2 year old loved them. We had the pool and hot tub to ourselves most time as well which was great. We would love to come back again and could have easily spent longer here as there is so much to do.
Perfect family holiday

We had a wonderful few days during August in Willowfield Lake Cottages. The booking process was painless and efficient and Ella did everything she could to accommodate us at short notice during the high season. The location is beautiful and our cottage was very clean and comfortable in every way. The facilities are fantastic for families with young children and our 5 and 2.5 year olds loved the warm indoor pool, the two outdoor play areas and the playroom. The chickens were an additional delight!
The cottages are wonderfully located - the surroundings are peaceful and quiet but close to a number of beaches, local attractions and the local Tesco is very handy too!
Ella and Steven are perfect hosts and I'll happily recommend this to friends and family (or maybe I should keep it a secret..) We're looking forward to our next visit.

Just returned from a refreshing break at Willowfield. The cottage was immaculate and tastefully furnished and it had everything we needed. Ella was so helpful from booking over the phone at short notice to seeing us into our cottage when we arrived. The setting is fantastic within sight of the sand dunes and when it was quiet you could hear the sea breaking on Saunton Beach. We are looking forward to our next visit.
