This was a sun holiday but we upgraded, normally go to looe bay but had a chage. Yes the lanes are narrow and lucky I have an O2 phone, signal was good by the local nisa shop. We had seashore 18, fab new caravan lots of room. We arrived early and went for lunch in the pub, meals were very good and I didn't think they were expensive. We had our 2 1/2 year old grandson with us and one of our daughters. My husband is disabled and the staff were brilliant couldn't have done any more. We were treated really well. Weather not good but sat and watched the people surfing from the pub and the staff took time to chat to us about surfing. Not many children there so Sid and lizzie were not on for long but the staff made the kids have a good time. Really enjoyed chatting to the locals especially after bingo, they made us feel very welcome. If you want a really quite break with no interruptions ie mobile phones this holiday place is ideal. A nice relaxing break thanks to all the staff.

Just got back from this site, after a 4 night break chose it partly for location and dog friendly beach (01 Oct dogs allowed on beach) and partly as a cheap second break and second second chance for my daughter to see Sid and Lizzie, first the positives :- the location is fantastic in respect that is on the beach, and despite what some other reviews have said we found the site and amenities in very good order and the park grounds were well kept, the caravan we stayed in seashore 33 was not to far back from the beach and main building and apart from a rusty radiator in the loo it was in good order. The welcome we got on arrival was very friendly and even though we arrived well before 4pm we were happy to find our caravan was ready when we arrived.
The negative points are the date we went our 3 year old daughter was the only tot in the kids club apart from a 1 year old, there were a few older kids but it made for limited interaction for our child, but this can not be helped i suppose and the kids trooper made her feel special so she hardly noticed the lack of other kids.
The main negative points are that the is no internal passageway to go between the restaurant and the main entertainment area(staff could but not customers),even though they share the same building, this meant we had to keep going out into the rain to go to and fro, also no drinks were available in the entertainments area in the morning while the kids entertainment was on , and by drinks i mean tea coffee etc if we wanted these we had to go outside and round to the restaurant again,a missed opportunity for revenue for the site
Finally there is NO signal if you have a mobile phone unless your with o2 and even this involves standing outside at certain areas of the park, so the only way to communicate with the outside world is eiter by the pay phones on site or using the free wifi in the main building.this park is a bit isolated down in a valley reached by narrow country lanes but it is worth it if you can put up with the neg points

This was our third year at this park. We were so let down we booked a year in advance to have a cottage !! They are chalets third bedroom a squashed broom cupboard no window, place has gone seriously down staff become very complacent and its a shame. Have holidays with Parkdean every year since 2007 won't be going back after this year!

We went out of season so this should be taken into consideration.
First of all the staff were some of the friendliest and helpful we've met however the site just feels a little tired. The pub served good food, the accommodation was clean and comfortable and the views were great. A lick of paint could quickly earn this site extra stars.
