We have never had a bad experience here. The greeting and service are excellent and the views from the restaurant over the sea are great- if you can spare the time away from the food. Good choices to suit all tastes which is why it is always so popular both in the bars and restaurant. The food is very reasonably priced, well presented and service is always professional .

We went to this restaurant earlier in the month on a Friday night. We were lucky enough to get a window table (though there are many).
They offer a set menu or a la carte but the set menu was very cheap. All bar one of our party of 7 ate off this and all were pleased.
I ate the smoked duck for starter, which was excellently prepared, although the portion was a touch small. I would recommend the fishcakes, which looked and tasted fantastic.
For the main course, I had a pork strogonoff, which was beautifully rich and creamy. Exactly what you want from the dish.
The dessert was chocolate brownie was a real homemade effort. Rich and chocolately and a nice slab to fill you up.
At the prices they offer and with a friendly cozy atmosphere, it is an excellent venue that I happily recommend.

Called in here on bank holiday Monday on off chance of getting a table. Although restaurant was very busy staff were very helpful and found us a table. Food was excellent and looking around at the other tables everybody seemed to be enjoying what they had. Saw someone have fish and chips and the fish was massive and overhanging the sides of the plate. An enjoyable lunch and will definetly go here again.

Popped in here on the off-chance of getting a table to seat 11 of us on the Saturday of the Easter weekend after having no luck elsewhere. Were thrilled to find 3 tables free which were put together to seat us all. Great choice of food on several different menus available as well as a specials board. Placed food order at bar for the 3 families. Unfortunately 2 x meals came out within minutes for 2 members of our party. The rest took at least another 20 minutes and by the time it came out the others had finished which was awkward. Another family seated nearby where overheard complaining that there order was also taking ages.

However, despite this the food was absolutely amazing and worth the wait. To say it was a bar lunch doesn't do it justice. This was the kind of food you would happily pay more for as an evening meal. All the food was fresh (hence the long wait), generous in portions and very tasty.

The only downside was that there did need to be more staff available as they obviously get very busy and this lets it down. But I wouldn't definitely go back as the food was fantastic.
