We booked directly with Tracey, manager of the Albany apartments. She was most helpful throughout including collecting us at the airport, and providing milk, bread, butter etc to start us off. Our 2 bedroom apartment was on the ground floor of the Pugin wing, with kingsize and twin beds, and was tastefully furnished and very well equipped. We had nice fluffy towels and good quality bed linen. Lighting was good. The garden was pretty and well maintained with comfortable sun loungers, tables and chairs plus pool towels. The only niggle was that the guests in the apartment above got up between 6 and 7am and because the ceiling/floor was creaky we were woken up by the clumping about of fairy elephants! Hopefully the management will correct this with improved flooring/insulation.
The apartments are in a relatively convenient location with a bus stop just around the corner.
Waitrose was about a mile away but would suggest getting the bus back! - £1 per person. There is a smaller supermarket, Bon Marche, close to the bus "town" terminal in St Peter Port, which is quite well stocked. Food/wine tends to be more expensive than the UK. Overall Guernsey is a very pretty island with beautiful beaches, buildings and a peaceful setting.

Lovely apartment, very clean and spacious. Walking distance to the town centre and bus stop just round the corner so getting around the island is very easy. Tracey is very friendly and helpful. We did however find it hard to sleep at night because of the heat and there aren't any windows that can be left open for ventilation or fans/air conditioning.

Good welcome, kindness of the staff. Comfortable apartment, All was made to facilitate our accomodations! Nothing missing, we felt like if we were at home! I recommend it to everyone without any hesitation!
I stayed with a 4 year old and 1 year old. I would echo a lot of the other reviews that I have seen - really great service from beginning to end, we stayed in apt 15 which opens straight on to steps for pool and garden. The children loved it and it was obvious that the new owners were trying to smarten up play area which was a bit tired but the children didn't seem to mind.
Cleanliness was fantastic - which can sometimes be a worry with self catering, well based on my experience anyway.
Close to town and ample parking.
Pool - great to have but a little too cold for the children to spend any more than a few minutes in (not helped by a bit of a miserable August) but my 1 thing that i would ask to be improved.
Apartment - a good size for a family and nice big bedrooms with plenty of storage. One downside was there is some noise from apartment above and as a parent of young children, I'm probably more sensitive to of a night time. But the tables and chairs on metal balcony were a bit of a nuisance when people are out there later in evening when you're trying to get children to stay asleep but ok most nights.
Great to have parking, gardens and pool and central location. Easy to walk into town and buses if you don't want to hire a car but we tend to as easier with the children and for exploring the island
Great facilities for the children with lots of toys to play with in reception.
That said, we are already trying to book for this summer as we've tried several places on Guernsey and this is the only one that I would readily return too without any considerations/worries.

This is my second stay at the Albany and it won't be the last. The location is great for the town (10mins stroll down the hill - 15mins up!) The apartments are spacious (not so the kitchens - but hey, this is a holiday so why cook?!) and it seems that everything has been considered and well thought out to ensure a great stay. Tracey the manager is a lovely lady and will go out of her way to ensure everything is as it should be. Thank you for a lovely stay and I can't wait to return!

This was our first visit to Guernsey and would certainly return to Albany apartments. Our 2 bedroom apartment was well equipped and supplying all the toiletries and towels made our packing so much easier and lighter! The sofas in the living room were large and comfortable just right after a long day especially if you walked back to the apartments from town it is a steep climb and takes about 15 minutes. However if you don’t want to walk take the bus for £1.00 from the town. All in all a thoroughly good holiday.
