We came across this by accident as the Underground Hospital was closed and so this was en route to the Little Chapel. They had run out of brown bread, but the chef went out specially to buy some for us. Sandwiches were very reasonably priced and packed with filling and the salad was fresh. I also recommend the Rocques cider.

Using our Quids In voucher to experience new restaurants on Guernsey, we booked our meal - steak and drink - half price at £12.50. Patois Beer and generous glass of wine and pleasant waitress were the only plus points of our visit.
We asked for our steak rare however, it was served well done (possibly broiled - definitely not grilled or fried). Frozen and over cooked chips. Good salad. No one enquired whether our meal was enjoyable.
Pesky flies??? No wonder local pubs are going out of business. Our advice, go to the Grande Mare, 3 courses for £12.50!

We had the unfortunate experience of eating at the Last Post on Sunday 4th May. A group of 40 plus. It was most unpleasant, There were flies everywhere landing on your food. I did speak to one of the waitress's, whose reply was "we are keeping the door closed between the other bar and kitchen to keep them out". The food itself I can only comment on my choice, but the consensus was pretty general, that the meal was awful. The prawn cocktail, lacked enough sauce. The roast dinner, cauliflower cheese was more than al dente, Roast potato's were anemic, beef lacked flavour, peas and carrots just about passable. The service was appalling meals came out in dribs and drabs, so some people had almost finished their meal,(what they eat of it) before others were served. For the cost we could have gone to a number of good resturant's, of which there are many in Guernsey and had a good quality meal.
