Description: A warm Guernsey welcome awaits you at the Old Quarter Restaurant from Paddy, Dana and the staff. This is honest, no nonsense food with a slight Irish slant as you would only expect from Paddy's home roots. The Restaurant prides itself on using as much locally sourced ingredients as possible; fresh from the land and the sea the taste of Guernsey comes out in every dish. Paddy and the team are keen to show off the best of what Guernsey has on offer each season and the menu changes to reflect this. Our cosy restaurant caters for parties up to fifty people, so whether its a business meeting over lunch or an intimate dinner for two we will always do everything to meet your expectations. We are also very flexible with our menus and happy to adapt to your needs where possible. You will find us at the centre of the Old Quarter among a mixture of antique dealers, art gallery's, craft shops, fashion boutiques and unique privately run shops of all types and descriptions. With its narrow cobbled streets it really is like going back in time to what most of the town of St Peter Port once looked like, but with a modern twist of quaint little shops. Any stroll around town is not complete without a trip up Mill and Mansell Street, why not cap it off with a light lunch or and early evening meal.

Four of us went for a true tennerfest meal. Three delicious courses for £10! Some of the best food we have had in years and very generous portions.

Great atmosphere and great service.

We will return to try the full menu.

Every October in Guernsey and Jersey, some of the local restaurants enter their menus into the "Tennerfest", which was aimed at offering menus for £10. Inflation has given the excuse to many establishments to increase their charges, but the Old Quarter Restaurant still offers a genuine 3 course £10 menu, that offers great value. Even when the festival is not on, I will still go back to them as the service and quality is of a very high standard.

This was the last night of our short visit to St Peter Port, we wanted something memorable and this restaurant certainly ticked all the boxes. Firstly the atmosphere is great and despite being incredibly busy the staff make you feel welcome, wanted and keep you informed. The service is just at the level we like; not in your face all the time but there just when you need it. The food couldn't be faulted. Starters; tempura prawn was the best we'd had and scallops in bacon was delicious. Mains; Lamb cooked to perfection and very tasty, surf & turf; lobster and fillet steak was to die for. We welcomed the fact that there was no piped music in this place just the buzz of people around you enjoying themselves. A nice chat with the chef/owner at the end of our meal showed just how much he cares. Can't wait to return to this place another time, it was the best meal of our visit and certainly made our last night memorable for all the right reasons. Thank-you!

Just finished a quick trip to Guernsey and northern France. This stood out amongst some other very good ones. It was a special occasion and I ordered a salad as an entree and scallops as a main. My dining partner had the scallops for starters and the steak with blue cheese as his main. A fairly extensive wine list was offered to us, and a lovely burgundy red enhanced the meal. Everything was superbly prepared and presented. Scallops are my favourite and this is by far the best I have ever had-cooked just enough. Service was friendly and yet very professional. We felt well looked after. The ambience is pleasant, allowing for intimate conversation yet it was busy enough for me to conclude that this is a popular spot with locals too. I would love to go back for another meal, it was that good! It is not inexpensive, but prices were reasonable considering the quality of the experience.
