Perfect location; beautiful bay which I could happily sit and gaze out at all day long. Delicious lunchtime sandwiches with the freshest of ingredients and superb chilled drinks.

“Excellent lunch stop”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Walked round from St Peter Port along cliffs with this spot in mind for Sunday lunch (04/08/13) as we had heard good things about it. We were not disappointed. Although you have to scramble for a table outside, once secured and order place at the cafe window our sandwiches arrived in a few minutes. Contrary to other reviews we found the lady who appeared to be in charge and her staff helpful and pleasant.
It is true that you cannot see the beach from the cafe due to the height of the wall. However a low wall would be extremely dangerous due to the drop onto the beach below.
The 6 of us had steak, tuna mayo and tomato & mozzarella sandwiches plus a smoked salmon salad. The sandwiches come with crisps or chips depending on the type of bread selected. The salad seemed enormous and the grand kids only just managed to finish their food.
I understand the quality of the cooking is due to the presence of staff from the hotel higher up the cliff.
If selecting sensibly from the menu the prices are acceptable, priced similarly to equivalent cafe restaurants on Guernsey. The Fermain Beach Cafe is well worth the walk to find it.

The best beach café in the world? It is certainly up there if not for the location and the views alone, it really is world class.

“The Best Beach Cafe in the UK ?”
Reviewed July 12, 2013 via mobile

This beach cafe has everything. Great food, drink and ice cream of just about any flavour you can think of. It's a bit of a trek getting there either down the valley road past the hotel or via the cliff paths but my goodness, it's worth it!
It is a little gem. Even the coffee machine is as good or better than you would get in most hotels.
