We stayed here with friends for two nights & throughly enjoyed ourselves. The tent pods are extremely comfortable with full size beds & a log burning stove if required. The kitchen & shower room contains all the amenities that you need. Of course, it's not conventional camping, but you can still feel the camping vibe, just without all of the discomfort - perfect!

All of the staff that we encountered were extremely passionate about where they worked & were exceptionally friendly & professional.

The main selling point is the fact that you are positioned practically in the zoo (Durrell Wildlife Park). Our tents were right next to the lemur enclosure which included all of the sights & sounds that you would expect. To hear the animals & birds from your bed really does add to the whole experience without disturbing your rest or sleep (the animals go to sleep too!)

We would highly recommend staying here, & the unlimited access (during normal opening hours) to the wildlife park just adds to the whole adventure. If you've never been to this zoo before, please visit, it's beautiful (& they've just had the birth of a baby gorilla!)

Room Tip: Please note that by staying in these tent pods you do not have access to the wildlife park 24/7. You still have to adhere to the official opening hours. Some of the other residents we spoke to felt that the marketing led them to believe you could wander around the zoo whenever you wanted. But if you think about it, they can't have the public wandering around the zoo at all hours. For health & safety reasons it would be totally impractical.

We spent three nights in the camp, the accomodation is superbly luxurious with seperate kitchen and bathroom the bed and bedding is comfortable and warm, we lit the log burner for two of the nights as in September when the sun went down it got a little chilly but the fire kept us toasty warm.
We ate out one night but really enjoyed the meal we cooked for ourselves in the tent and found a takeaway that deilivered the other night, we bought beer and wine and kept this cold with the ice packs and cool boxes that were provided.
Staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome and at home, never camped before and would never want to camp in any other way in the future.
The free entry to the wildlifepark was fantastic as you could pop in and out during the day, the food in the wildlife park was excellent (lunch and breakfast) and all staff were very friendly and incredibly knowledable and passionate about the animals in the park.
We did the dusk tour of the park and would highly recommend this.
Biggest compliment of all being the last day of our stay which was the day of the Jersey airshow, we decided to stay at the camp and visit the park again

We visited in August, 2012, and the camp had only been open for two weeks. We are a family of four with two adults and two teenaged sons. I, the mom, am not a big fan of camping, but this camp was so luxurious and clean and well-equipped that it made it fun for all of us. My husband and I shared a full-sized bed in the huge main 'pod', while the boys slept in a tent ourside. There was a separate Kitchen tent with all cooking supplies, hot and cold water, electric stove and electrical outlets. Attached to it was a bathroom tent with flush toilet, sink and fabulous glass enclosed shower.

We really relaxed and loved visiting the park every day, meeting the excellent keepers, and getting to know the animals, since you get free entry to the park when you stay at the camp. We didn't feel rushed to run around the park because we stayed for four nights and had plenty of time. We absolutely loved being so near to Lemur Lake and hearing the Black and White lemurs and Red Ruffed lemurs shouting out their territorial rights occasionally, day and night. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating or enthusiastic. We cooked and barbecued a few times, but the food at Durell was excellent. We stayed in Jersey for two weeks at luxury hotels for the rest of our stay, but we all agreed that our favourite place to stay on the island was Durrell. It was fabulous and we'd highly recommend it! We'll certainly be back!

We stayed for 4nights Mon to Fri in Aug. The facilities to each pod are first class. Everything you need for a luxurious "camping" experience.
The pods were very spacious and the kitchen/ bathroom very well equipped. No need to bring anything other than personal items.
I wouldn't hesitate to go back again.
