This hotel was so good last time that we decided to return just four months later, taking advantage of the 'all inclusive' deal. Once again we weren't disappointed. From the first greeting the staff were helpful and welcoming throughout. The service is warm, polished and professional at all times. Rooms were lovely (as we were 2 single travellers we had 'classic' rooms for single occupancy). All rooms are slightly different to maintain that individual feel of a splendid country house. The location is wonderful, in a peaceful green valley, just minutes walk from picturesque Rozel bay, no hussle and bustle here. Food was excellent in all respects, varied, imaginative, wonderful ingredients and all superbly cooked and presented - my only regret is not staying long enough to try eveything I fancied! The menus are updated nightly and the evening meal is remarkable. What more can I say, I will certainly return.

Room Tip: Take a look at the website before you book, each of the rooms are fully described with photos.

My wife booked a 3 night 1/2 board short break for my birthday. This included flights from Southampton, car hire, 2 evening meals and afternoon tea each day.
We found the hotel a very pleasant place to stay, all the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was excellent.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Our long weekend holiday was booked through Travelzoo as a half board, including hire car and flights. The £100 per night, per person was worth twice that. From reception to departure, and everything in between, you are treated like royalty. A welcoming staff that offer you a port or sherry at check-in, spacious suites with full bay windows, private terraces, sumptuous meals with excellent service, and a very short walk to the beach are some of the extras you can't get from the brochure. I am sure there are other places as nice as Chateau la Chaire on Jersey, but I would be hard pressed to try them after this experience. The 'Taste of Jersey' meal was a delight (all eight courses).

We stayed for 5 nights in a superior room as this was a Birthday treat ! Our room was extremely spacious, very clean and serviced each day. All the staff were extremely helpful right from the initial booking way back in January to our departure. We booked to stay on this side of the island hoping for stunning scenery and a peaceful holiday with good food. We were not disappointed. Breakfast set us up for the day and after a full day out we came back to afternoon tea with Jersey cream followed by a relaxing few hours before the evening meal. The meals were beautifully cooked, presented and served. My Birthday cake which was made by the chef was beautiful. Thank you to all at Chateau le Chaire for your attention to detail.

Our stay at the Chateau la Chaire was a four night midweek half board/afternoon cream tea holiday with flights and car hire organised and paid to the hotel in a single inclusive tariff of £1080. This represented excellent value when one considers the individual break down costs to me approx as follows; Flights £300; Car £100; Dinner £40x4 nights x 2 guests is £320; Afternoon cream tea £36 leaving £324 or £81 Room/Breakfast. I hope my maths is correct! Whilst its a bit naff to mention money, the point is that price/value must affect ones review as to the critique of the hotel and any subsequent recommendation. In this case Chateau la Chaire offers fantastic value and providing one is aware of the hotels offering in terms of facilities and location, it provides a lovely holiday. The hotel is a country house hotel, comfy settees, oak panelled dining room offering peace and quiet. What it does not is provide a swimming pool, health spa, sunbeds, gym and vibrant nightlife, so if these are on your holiday list do not book! What does it offer? A range of bedrooms in terms of style all described on line. Perhaps best of all is the dining- fabulous.A menu that offers a good choice, expertly cooked and presented that leaves the diner replete rather than gut busted! I am a reviewer of high but realistic standards (e.g not irked by the lack of availability of peppermint tea-ugh) as some might be! A lovely country hotel offering excellent value based on offering "what it says on the tin."
