“Excellent facilities, welcoming staff, most enjoyable”

We came to Jersey for one night - my wife was working that night in St Helier assessing a teacher. I was really impressed with the welcoming and helpful reception staff who surprisingly upgraded us to a business room (419) overlooking the causeway and bay. The room was very spacious; included a coffee machine and king-size bed. I spent the evening in the hotel, room service food and service was good, facilities excellent. Breakfast was comprehensive; had a nice swim the next morning and left mid-morning. An excellent hotel in a lovely position. I like the uncluttered, minimalistic furnishings and furtinture. We will be back to Jersey for Christmas shopping and a longer stay in the Radisson. Definitely a hotel to chill out in for a short city break.

I stayed with my partner from 17-23 May 2009 and we booked the business class rooms as we like the idea of having free movies, nespresso machine, newspaper in the room. Anyway, we got room Nr 443 with view over the Marina and Elisabeth Castle. Absolutely stunning!!! The room was big, clean, the bed was very comfortable.... just wonderful! The bathroom was very nice as well and clean. There were 2 bathrobes as well. Nespresso machine did it's job :)
The breakfast was just fantastic. They had everything from different breads, baguettes, croissants, jam, eggs in various kinds, baked beans, ham, sausages, etc.... fresh fruit, yoghurt (tip: try the Jersey yoghurt-delicious), muesli, cheese, hot toast, tee, coffees, etc. Just great! If you come later, like 9:30 you might have to queue a bit to get a table as this is a busy time, but the breakfast area is very big anyway.
The service at the hotel was brilliant: I forgot my cable for my digital camera back home and the staff at the reception actually found me a suitable cable to help me out! So nice!
The hotel is centrally located with a big cinema centre just 2min away and a short walk to St. Helier centre. We rented a car and there's a free car park in front of the hotel.
We will definitely go there again!!!
Just one last tip: avoid flying with flybe. It was a nightmare getting back to London.

We booked through Jersey Travel and I got a deal for a single traveller for under £300 for 3 nights B&B and Gatwick flights. Hubby went by boat - don't ask! We paid an extra £10 a night for double occupancy when he arrived.

The room was spacious and very clean. Very very comfortable 6ft bed with equally wonderful pillows. Struggled a bit with the climate control in the room. The hotel is in a wonderful position and a 10 min (pretty bleak) walk to the town centre. I think the staff really make this hotel as they are friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The pool is small but nice, good steam room, sauna and gym.

As appears to be the case with all these big hotels the food is on the pricy side and not great. However they went out of their way to accomodate me when nothing on the menu appealed. Drinks are pricy too and beware, buy a coke and it's a tiny mixer size measure. Breakfast buffet was good although the bacon was a bit odd!

Overall a really great hotel with only the price and quality of the food preventing me from giving it 5*. However I can never understand why, when the hotel is quiet they don't upgrade guests to a slightly better room, ie a sea view one in our case. It costs them nothing and really is great for customer relations.

Will certainly return and having seen a suite will try and save our pennies to be able to stay in one. They are WONDERFUL!

Free computer use and wifi was a bonus.

We stayed here for 3 nights from xmas eve until the day after Boxing Day. The hotel is spotless and the rooms were lovely too. My only criticism was the xmas buffet lunch which was not very well organised at all. People were left waiting for food to be replenished all the time and I didnt consider the food to be up to the hotels 5 star standard. However this did not spoil our otherwise perfect xmas break especially considering the deal we got .

I will be returning here in the summer

Stayed over Christmas. Upgraded to harbour view and should really have gone to Executive which are larger still. Our room was fine, although it rather lacked space to put suitcases and there was only a hanging rack rather than a wardrobe. Breakfast was huge, excellent buffet but with really fresh food and chef available for anything else. Festive fare was extensive, with tables decorated up, but the whole experience lacked a little Christmas cheer and warmth.
Will go again in spring - its a great island which was closed at Christmas. This hotel has great views and yet is 5 minutes from town.

We stayed for a long weekend at the Radisson and while some things we could not fault, others were truly disappointing.

The room itself was very clean and well-equipped although the small touches one would expect in a hotel like the Radisson hadn't been looked at such as the hotel information was in bad condition and should've been replaced. Additionally, whilst we had booked a double room we did not get a double bed; it was in fact two single beds pushed together with two separate, single duvets! Not good for a romanitc getaway. View from the room was fantastic.

We visited the spa and both had some treatments which were absolutely great, service brilliant and really happy with the treatments themselves, would definitely recommend the spa.

Room service was somewhat lacking; not much choice and quality of the food quite low; e.g. cheese and pickle sandwiches that were stale!

Several times we had cocktails out on the terrace and had very mixed experiences. The first time, the cocktails were great, absolutely spot on (as you would expect for the the price!) However the other times we went they were distinctly substandard; I got a cosmopolitan that was peach coloured and barely drinkable. Additionally, they advised us they did not have a cocktail menu as they were redoing the prices and I think it would've been sensible (as no menu appeared for the 3 days we were there) to have a temporary menu until the new one had been finalised.

Finally, we also had dinner in the restaurant which was another disappointing experience; this was mainly due to the fish which had so much lemon on it as to render it barely edible.

The staff were generally very helpful and polite but there seemed to be an atmosphere of chaos at times, particularly in the bar!

We escaped to Jersey for a four night break between Christmas and New year...
This hotel is just great.. Clean, superb temperature control, ideally situated for local amenities and we were lucky to have a room overlooking Elizabeth Harbour and Castle. Leisure facilties are spotlessley clean and well appointed. A lovely tonic at the end of the year.
