Description: Gustul Casei is Jersey's first Romanian style eatery serving a range of authentic and home-cooked Romanian dishes together with a selection of international dishes and pastries served in a relaxed cafe bar / bistro environment. We are based at the Weighbridge, in the heart of St Helier, and its elevated situation on the first floor offers the diner panoramic views overlooking the Weighbridge Square and beyond to the Marina. Gustul Casei is Romanian for 'A Taste of Home' which underpins the ethos of introducing Jersey to a new range of flavours, as well as providing a homely environment for the local Romanian community. Dishes are representative of traditional Romanian cuisine ensuring a gastronomic delight to cater for all tastes. The restaurant is fully licenced to serve alcohol with opening hours from 11am until late. The fully air-conditioned restaurant is also available for private hire for special events such as birthdays, christenings etc and will also feature special Romanian events and acoustic entertainment. Free WIFI is also available.

visited gustal casei with family for my birthday. none of us was sure what to expect as it is the only restaurant of its kind in jersey. well, what a revelation. we were all totally agreed that the food and the service were superb. we had a table by the large window which gave us a great view over the square across to the harbour. we will certainly be returning soon. i'm sure marcin and his wonderful staff will make a great success of this new venture. p.s. thank you marcin for the complementary bottle of bubbly on our arrival.

3 of us had a lovely meal at Gustul Casei in June, it is a lovely restaurant with a great view over the weighbridge and harbour area. Fantastic welcome, service was fantastic and the food a delight, one of our friends is a trained Chef and really enjoyed it so praise indeed.
We had the benefit of talking to the owners about the food and Romanian traditional recipes, all made the experience so much more personal and enjoyable. Definitely on our list of restaurants to visit again.

Visited here with my mum whilst on holiday. The welcome and service was excellent. The food also was excellent; we had the Romanian cheese in breadcrumbs for main and loved it. For the starter we had vegetarian dips that were delicious. The food was well priced and the atmosphere in the restaurant good. Toilets were clean.

We have visited a couple restaurants in St. Heliers, but this one is on the top of our list. Nice location with a view over the harbour , very friendly and helpful staff and last but certainly not least. Very good and tender meat. Simply put, the best spare ribs I have had in a long time.
