We went to this Hotel through a packagefrom Glenton Travel and were wonderfully surprised.
This was our first visit to Jersey and we consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have selected the Notfolk.
There are numerous supposedly better hotels who should look at the Norfolk because their service, cleanliness, comfort and value was well above some 4 star locations.
The food and service in the restaurant was first class and all staff went out of their way to make you welcome and comfortable.
We will be back.

The staff here provide a first class service, which many hotels with more stars could learn from. The desk staff (Lisa et al), the manager Paulo, and the head waiter Joseph are great characters and make you very welcome. Any problems let them know, and they will endeavour to sort them out. The rooms are what you expect for a two star, and the cleaning service every day is excellent. The coffee shop and pool were nice. Didn't eat a meal here other than Breakfast which is ok, nothing special. There are big tour parties who come here and the average age of the guests is pensionable to say the least, which gives a slightly Fawlty Towers atmosphere. There is no air con, and the rooms can get hot at the front. This caused the only niggle as Opening the windows brings street noise, and La Colomberie is a main route into the centre of St Helier which keeps going 24 hours over a weekend. Had to ask to move rooms as I couldn't sleep, and keeping them closed was like being in a sauna. This was done with no hassle, and a room at the back on the ground floor brought quiet and rest. Again the staff were first class sorting this out. Overall a nice hotel, and value for money.

Room Tip: Be careful that the rooms overlooking the street, La Colomberie, can be noisy with the windows open...

We stayed at the Norfolk Hotel from 8 July to 19 July 2013 and have never been to Jersey before. From the moment we arrived, we were well looked after, our room was lovely, staff were very helpful. We did not realise the hotel did evening meals as we had booked bed and breakfast only but we asked whether we could have an evening meal on the first night. The hotel managed to fit us in and we were not disappointed with our meal. We had planned to eat out in the evening but ended up staying fror evening meal every night. Our waiter who was from Romania we think, can't remember his name, it began with an M and was absolutely brilliant, really attentive, cheerful, full of fun and was excellent. Food was fabulous, both for breakfast and evening meal, good choices and the sweets were amazing.

Joseph is a real asset to this hotel, a real gentleman, so polite and great with all the guests. The way he remembered all the guests names was amazing, even after the first time you met him, he seemed to know everyone. He was a delight to be around.

Fabulous hotel, should be five star rating, rooms beautifully clean and remained so during our stay. The whole of the hotel, both inside and out was so well looked after and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.

All the staff were very friendly, cheerful, helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

We did have fantastic weather for the whole time which was amazing.

we have recently returned from a week in the Norfolk Hotel - my husband, son John Joe and his partner Sanchia. We cannot describe how wonderful it was - best holiday ever and first time in Jersey for all of us. The staff were absolutely wonderful and did make you feel important. Joseph(the head waiter) was something special and had lots of fun with our son and partner. Our personal waitress (Lucia) was so attentive, thoughtful and kindness itself. Nothing was any trouble to her, and always so jolly - she cerainly helped make our holiday very memorable. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone and we cant wait to go back next year. It is all so convenientm to get about. Beautiful rooms-pool-food fantastic - no complaints whatsoever.

Room Tip: ground floor rooms very convenient and accessible to all facilities.

we have just come back from jersey,we stayed at the Norfolk hotel.on arrival our bags had to be left for the porter to bring them to the room, meanwhile 30 minutes later we were still waiting.in reception we were told to use the lift ,as there were no stairs. we don,t like confined spaces.later on we found the stairs. At 6--30pm we went for dinner and we were shown to our table, sit down the tables are all sharing in the restaurant.we were not pleased at this information, two minutes later another couple arrived at the table.good news the couple were brilliant ,they were from Dundee. the meals were very good, the waiteress was the best. 8-30 was breakfast with a choice of ceareal and full English .the rooms were very good, cleaned well every day.The hotel was handy for the shops the howard davies park, where films were shown free of charge all week.handy for buses or coach trips.

Room Tip: less noisey rooms overlooking car park

We have never written a review before but felt we had to in this case to let people know how wonderful we found this hotel. We stayed half board on a package holiday. Hotel positioned well for town, park and within walking distance for most for sea front. Staff so friendly they were like family by end of week and nothing too much trouble. Bedroom lovely with good sized bathroom. Single room for one of our party best she has had. Spotlessly clean. Hotel cafe very useful, and always striving to please. Cannot understand why this hotel does not have a five star rating and several of our party said the same. Many people we spoke to have returned year after year. Would recommend to everyone. Food cooked excellently. Only improvements, nice to have biscuits with the tea and coffee supplied in rooms and blind on bathroom window. Bar prices seemed high.
