We had expected some special treatment as my wife and I were on a short vacation for our 40th (Ruby) anniversary and the travel agent had informed them of this. However on arrival there was no mention of it and we were given a room with single beds would you believe! But after some haggling and a view of two other rooms we finally accepted the room with a four poster bed (room 28), which unfortunately turned out to be the hardest bed we have ever tried to sleep in, honestly we may as well have slept on the floor! Other than this it was a pleasant enough stay, the staff were very nice, the continental breakfast was good, although a full English would have been nice on at least one day. The hotel is very clean but dated and needs a refurbishment. The four parking spaces at the rear are extremely tight even for a small car like ours and there is no rear entrance. All in all somewhat disappointing, 5 out of 10.

This was a last minute decision to get away for a few days; a trip to the travel agent came up with a 4 day break at the Mornington in St Helier.

The Hotel was very comfortable and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff that seemed to go that extra mile to ensure that all was as we wanted.

Our room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, just right for a good night’s sleep, with plenty of tea/coffee/sugar/milk available in our room for that much needed drink when needed! Nice bathroom with lots of hot water and a good shower to revitalize.

Nice continental breakfast with all you can eat to get the day started, and lovely evening meals all at sensible prices.

The Hotel is situated opposite Howard Davis Park, with magnificent gardens to stroll around, and the main town centre, with all the shops and restaurants is literally a 2 minute walk away.

We will be back!

The location of this hotel is fairly central a few parking spaces 4/5 to rear . The hotel is very dated example being the cork wallpaper on the corridors it may be called retro I am sure that's how my kids would describe it I just think tired. The room we stayed in no4 do not stay in unless you can be sure it is not going to rain as it is an annex with a perspex caravan style domed skylight it sounds like a caravan in the rain as it has a flat roof . The breakfast area was very retro or a timewarp you chose. Food was addequate very pleasent staff . If the owners read this I suggest throw out the clutter get some light coloured paint and I am sure all could be resolved .
