Made a late booking for Jersey to attend the International Air Show and Beer Festival, consequently many places were fully booked or too expensive for a short break.
The Mornington was a highly rated 2* which suited the budget and didn't disappoint - yes it's dated and a there is definitely a case of WYSIWYG, but there's nothing wrong with that when 'WYG' is what you need.
Found it to be friendly, efficient, clean and very well managed - breakfast is quirky but does the job - the cheese/ham and fruit platter, with toast and homemade marmalade was an unexpected hangover cure.
Short walk (5-10mins to King St in the centre of St Helier) with the little gem that is Howard Davies Park, just across the road.
Would stay again.More
