This hotel is very well placed,we had a good room,, whose doors opened onto the patio, then looked out over the sea,,the staff were very helpful,, the food was good also,, there is a bus stop right outside,,and you are only a short walk into St helier , overall a very nice stay would go back to this hotel,..

Excellent hotel, great breakfast, near the main shopping centre (10 minute walk), indoor swimming pool for residents. Our room at the front was a bit noisy but did not wake my grandchildren in the family room. The restaurant and the bar was competitively priced and the food was excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient, always willing to assist in anyway possible. Like most hotels in Jersey, parking is a problem, this hotel does not have its own car park. However a car park is just a few minutes walk away and Jersey has its own parking rules, no charge after 17:00 until 08:00 then one prepaid ticket for every hour must be displayed on the dashboard. These tickets can only be purchased from a garage or most gift shops, cost £7.60 for 10 ticket sales. A Greek restaurant and a bistro are opposit this hotel.

Room tip: Rooms at the front can be noisy with traffic and refuse collections early morning.

We arrived at this hotel about 12.30 the reception desk was unmanned the bell we later discovered was hidden by the flap on the counter. There was guests luggage lying around unattended. The receptionist eventually appeared after another staff member went looking for her. We were given room 39 which was noisy the floor creaked every time you moved, the mattress on the bed was to soft, and was very noisy from outside traffic as the Windows were not double glazed. The bathroom had a shower over the bath which was for us was not suitable as my husband has difficulty climbing in and out of a bath. I went to reception to ask for another room but was told that there were only a limited number of rooms with a walk in shower and they were full. The trainee assistant manager who was in the background at the reception desk said he would check later that night to see if a room with a walk in shower became available that never happened.

Room tip: Avoid all rooms at the front of the hotel the Windows are not double glazed and the traffic noise is constant

First visit to Jersey and to Fort D'Auvergne Hotel. We loved both the island and the hotel. Lovely quiet location with views across the bay, friendly and helpful staff, spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast. We will be back as soon as we can.

Room tip: Definitely ask for a sea view and balcony room.

This is an old fashioned hotel in need of modernisation. There were only 2 sockets in the bed room. The bed covers consisted of sheets, a scratchy blanket and quilted counterpane.
Breakfast was basic and greasy.
Decor was tired and worn. The carpets need replacing.
One man on reception was exceptional. The girl on reception was bordering on rude at check in.
The location is good, away from busy St Helier. Good bus service and excellent restaurants on your door step. Pleasant beach with lido next to the hotel.
