Last summer stayed in Savoy in Jersey, a 4 star. We came back to Jersey this week for a 4 day stay and decided to try the Mayfair,3 star.
The situation was excellent, a five minute stroll to the centre of town. A taxi cost £15 from airport and the taxi driver recommended a few pubs close by which were fantastic value and good pub grub!!
Reception very spacious.2 computers for guests to use and staff very helpful
Our room was a twin, clean, and the bathroom recently updated. Unfortunately we had a very small TV, just a portable, no DVD player and only 5 channels, BBC.ITV1, Channel 5 and a .kids channel,Internet not avalable in bedrooms either, just foye
A great little coffee shop available and it also serves food during the day---we ate here one afternoon and it was nice.
Breakfast was my disappointment, I thought there was so little choice, No fresh fruit, tinned prunes and grapefruit with a bowl of strawberry yogurt. 3 or 4 cereals,no choice of breads--just croissants. Cooked breakfast was brought to the table which was nice, but there was no variation and when you are
there for 5 mornings it does become a little boring!
BUT----- for me it was the smell at the back of the breakfast room where the food sat of body odour from a waiter--we could smell it the moment we walked in each morning. We had to go out for breakfast on our last morning as we just could not face it.I dont know if anyone else noticed this??? I dont think I can go back to a 3 star hotel again,, Breakfast at the savoy was so beautiful, I am sorry that I sacrificed a better hotel so I could save money. In future I will only go 4 star and do with less spending money. All in all, a 3 star hotel still charges a lot and they should be delivering a higher quality of food

stayed here overnight for a party and the hotel catered for it very well. Breakfast was really good, lots of selection. The pool and steam room were very good to. The best thing about this place was the over all value. Staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and spacious

This is a great place to stay, the facilities are good and the rooms are big. Shopping and eating is only 5 minutes walk away and the staff are really helpful. The bed could have been more comfortable but other than that I have no complaints.

Stayed at the Mayfair Hotel during the half term break with my 10 year old son. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable with a very clean bathroom. Tea/coffee facilities replenished each day. Stayed on BB basis, breakfast had everything you could want from cereals to full english. Dinner was extremely good value £12.50 for 5 courses. Also had a childrens menu for £5.50 which again good value. All the staff were very pleasent and helpful. Hotel is a 10 minute walk to centre of shops, 15 minutes to harbour front. The pool, steam room and gym facilities were of a good standard. Would recommend and return.

We stayed at the Mayfair for Valentines weekend arriving on Thursday 11th on a B&B basis.
The hotel has a large car park although some of the spaces can be a tight squeeze! The hotel reception is bright and airey and the reception staff very friendly.

Our double room was on the 1st floor overlooking St Saviours Road - tea and coffee facilities were provided and toiletries in the modern bathroom. There was a small portable tv and the room was very clean. Unfortunately at times the noise from the road was very loud especially at peak times.

Breakfast was served from 7.30-9.30 - self service for cerials, juice, cold meats/cheeses and toast then you order your cooked breakfasts from the waiters who were very efficient and the food was served hot.

The evening meal menu is displayed in reception and advisable to book at weekends. We had one evening meal which was good value for £12.50 each. Choice of starters followed by soup. There were 4 or 5 choices for main course and again for dessert followed by coffee or tea.

The indoor pool looked inviting although we didn't make use of it.

The hotel is well located and only a 10 minute stroll to the main shops in St Helier.

We would recommend this hotel although ask for a room that doesn't overlook St Saviours Road!!
