We stayed at the Norfolk Lodge in August, this was our first visit to Jersey. The hotel, staff, food and everything about this hotel was excellent. Will DEFINITELY be returning. The Restaurant Manager seemed to be 'under the cosh' a bit by some guests who were continually complaining, but he was very professional but took it quite personally as he wanted guests to enjoy their visit to the restaurant and was upset that they felt the need to complain. We didn't have any complaints at all. Would recommend half-board as there was such a variety on the menu each evening.

Room Tip: Rooms were very spacious, had everything needed, and the cleanliness was second to none

Our family which includes my wife, 2 children and my parents have stayed at this hotel for the past 3 years and have had a wonderful holiday each time. The family room is spacious with double bed, bunk beds for the kids, TV, bathroom inc shower and coffee / Tea facilities. Rooms are kept clean each day by the meticulous staff who are very accommodating and polite. We opted for half board again this year as the food is exceptional with a different menu choice each eve. Evening meal inc starters, main course, sweet and coffee. Very relaxed restaurant with great atmosphere and attentive staff. Breakfast includes either cereals, toast, croissants or full English, very good quality food. The food at this hotel really makes it to be honest! The bar area includes comfortable seating for socialising and watching the eve entertainment. One quibble I will make are the prices of the soft drinks at the bar, £2.20 for a small tin of Diet Coke or Lemonade is a bit steep when you have 2 children. I can understand paying the beer / wine prices but not soft drinks. This is the only problem I have as this hotel is excellent. Another big positive here is the indoor pool which is a decent size and clean. Overall the Norfolk Lodge Hotel in St Helier is excellent, great quality food, very attentive and polite staff along with a good indoor pool. Another very enjoyable stay and plan to be back again next year,

Check in was good. Polite and professional. We stayed in the annex which did have an odour in the entrance which reminded me of some other hotels I have stayed in over the years. It wasn't unpleasant and the room itself had no such odour. Our room was very clean and tidy with flat screen TV. The beds were very comfy and the bedding was modern. The bathroom only had a shower which was very modern.
Breakfast was very good. Full English and continental. Good quality sausage and bacon. Serve yourself and eat as much as you like. There was also a selection of other items such as kippers or poached eggs that were cooked to order if requested. Tea and coffee was served by staff and they were always on the ball.
Evening meal was wonderful with a choice of different times to eat. The quality and presentation was in my opinion very good. Well cooked and flavoursome. The restaurant staff were very polite and hardworking.
Evening entertainment ok and aimed at the older generation.
Bar prices seemed to match the rest of the Islands pubs with lager around £4 a pint and bitter around £3. Mary Anne special being a nice pint.
Hotel is easy to reach from the airport and has a quite large car park.
Hotel does seem dated in some areas but on the whole we had a pleasant stay. We had a bottle of fizz in our room on arrival saying welcome back from all the staff which was a nice touch.
My son had a minor accident in the hotel pool and this was dealt with very professionally by the manager.
The walk to the main shopping streets takes about 10 mins.
The hotel does have a lift.
Yes it is a little dated in some areas but overall we all had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Overall our stay way good, breakfast was good, our family room has plenty of room, the swimming pool is a nice addition and staff were welcoming.
The only problems we had was on arrival we were given the wrong room which had champagne waiting for the guests as compliments of the staff, but then we were chased down to find our room had nothing. This stay was for an anniversary which we didn't tell the hotel but still all guests should be treated the same. We then we shown to the right room and given keys, when returning to the room later the keys did not work. I then expressed my views to the manager who could not care and thought there was no problem, after this I head him rudely about myself saying he wasn't psychic to another member of staff, this is unacceptable behaviour. After this we looked to go for a trip but the receptionists didn't know anything so we had to walk and book it ourselves. Following this the keys stopped working again which I complained again but reception said it was a common fault. Otherwise the car park was very useful as we hired a car meaning car parking was required but wifi access was limited and at most times did not work, this would be an improvement to make.
