stayed here for 2 nights. Think I was the youngest guest on site being in my mid 30's. Everyone was nearly pension age however the island was booked out and this was the only place I could find. It is priced very reasonably and in fairness the staff are excellent and very accommodating. Food is good for a 3 star property and I know there was muscial entertainment in the bar every night which wouldbe good for anyone on holidays. This is ageing property but in fairness to them they maintain it well and it is spottlessy clean. Just a few thingsn the bottled beers theyhave in bar are limited - no corona, coors light, heineken. Wifi is only accessible in the lobby/bar area and not in bedrooms which is a pain and the bedrooms which are spottlessy clean need a major refurb

We are a larger traditional hotel with a town location and good parking facilities; these attributes attract a broad mix of valued guests to the hotel.

We have recently been upgraded to 3 Stars by the AA and find that an increasing number of business visitors are choosing to stay with us. With this in mind, we are grateful for your comments.

It is pleasing that you found that the catering was good for an AA 3 Star hotel and that it suited your needs. We offer an all-day menu which does suit many clients that are visiting Jersey on business.

We are delighted that you also found us to be good value and, with your comments in mind, we now intend to continue to upgrade facilities for business visitors as we take the hotel forward.

Thank you.

We are just back from a week in this hotel and it was fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The manager leads from the front - he certainly knows his business inside out. The food was wonderful and beautifully presented. The rooms were lovely and spotlessly clean. Couldn't recommend it highly enough!! We've been in higher starred hotles and had a lot worse service.

Just spent the week at Norfolk Lodge hotel, there is no point in repeating what a lot of other reviewers have said regarding the staff, who were friendly and very attentive, and the meals were better then expected. It was also spotlessly clean.
We also had 2 packed lunches (ordered the night before) for a day out around the island. These were excellent value for money with something for everyone and sandwiches with filling of your choice. So much cheaper than eating at the attractions or St Helier.
Overall, the management and staff have to be commended for the way in which the hotel is run.
The one thing I must advise of is that guests (especially the ladies) do not use the swimmimg pool alone, and that people should not leave valuables in the changing rooms.
On one occasion, my wife and I were in the pool when a man who was not a hotel guest, had no towel or swimming gear came into the pool area (the previous guest who left the pool had left the door ajar) and went straight into the changing room (my clothing and room key was in the pool area with me anyway), then came out and sat with his feet in the pool doing nothing. At this point we decided to get changed and leave as I had no doubt he was on the rob or some other suspicious act (This was not a young kid as the receptionist assumed but a grown man)
We went to reception to sign out and reported the mans actions, I expected them to at least send a man in to the pool building to check it out, but was surprised to find that the receptionist herself went to check it out alone!.By the time I had explained the situation to her and her going to look he was gone.
Like a lot of hotels in the UK, I think that CCTV in the pool building (as there is no lifegaurd) with a monitor in reception would help deter and make guests feel a little safer, and the coded pool door needs to be able to self-close properly.
Overall though we had a fantastic time at the hotel and would still rcommend it to others.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear of the hotel as the front is quite noisy from 6.30am

Thank you for your very positive comments in respect of our management and our standards at the Norfolk Lodge Hotel. These comments are much appreciated by our team.

Regarding possible intrusion into our indoor swimming pool complex by unauthorised persons, it should be noted that Jersey, as an Island, is a very low crime area and that, thankfully, we have never had an incident within this swimming complex, over many years of operation. However, we are mindful that guest peace of mind may also be improved by increasing our security measures. We have now approved quotations in order that CCTV, as described, is fitted within the complex and that a swipe card security entry system is put in place. I trust that these actions will deal with any concerns that you, or future guests, may have in this area.

Thank you for your feedback. We always seek to act in a responsible manner towards our valued guests.

Me and my wife spent a great week at this hotel with my elderly parents. The staff are very friendly and go the extra mile for you, The food was of high quality, continental and full English for breakfast and choice of 4 different meals for evening meals. Our tip is to book evening meal time in the morning as early 6.30 - 7pm slots get booked up very quickly. The rooms were a nice size and clean. Our tip for the rooms is request a low level room when you book if you have difficulty with stairs as to some rooms there is 42 steps. The staff were more than willing to move guests if there room wasn't to there liking, nothing seemed to much trouble. The hotel entertainment was on 5 out of 7 nights, much as it wasn't our cup of tea, most of the other guests seemed to enjoy it. We would absolutely return to this hotel again and thanks to everyone there for making our stay most welcome.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your week long stay at the Norfolk Lodge Hotel and thank you for your feedback.

We are a 101 bedroom AA 3 star hotel with good public areas and facilities. Only around 10% of our accommodation is reached with the number of steps as described; this arrangement is only present within a portion of the older Victorian part of the main hotel property. In contrast, the principal hotel accommodation block is served by lift. Low floors or lift accessible bedrooms may easily be requested if this is in any way a concern. We are delighted that you would return to us in the future. Thank you for your kind comments.

This was a treat for my partner and I'm glad we chose this hotel. Being our wedding anniversary we were surprised to have a bottle of bubbly in the room. The room was spacious and looked newly done. The food was beyond our mark but what struck us more was the staff. Very courteous, polite and professional. They work so hard and nothing seem to be much trouble. We used the local buses to see the beautiful Island though we could as well hire a car because the hotel has a big car park. I will definitely come back to this hotel next time I visit Jersey.
