Excellent staff, very polite and accomodating, the waiting staff are exceptional, nothing's any bother. We stayed here for a week (14/7/12-21/7/12), the staff run a very tight ship and work very hard, very welcoming. The room was very clean and tidy, though it needs updating, but this has not affected the staff work ethic. The food was way above a 2 star hotel, well presented. a great choice, the chef does a great job, breakfast is fabulous, lots of choices. As it is centrally placed a great base to see everything in Jersery.
Everything is geared to please the hotel guests.
Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, the only thing l.d ask them to do is, fix the creaky floorboards.
If we return to Jersey we'll make sure we stay here.

Room Tip: There is a lift but we stayed on the ground floor where it was very quiet.

We recently spent an enjoyable week at The Stafford. From the moment we arrived to be greeted by a VERY well trained receptionist to the day that we departed, everything and i mean everything was geared to please the hotel guests.
Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and yes we had an avacado bathroom suite that was roomy with a shower and ample bath.
The food was excellent quality served by a polite and efficient waiting staff, we have stayed in 4 star hotels that did not begin to match these standards.
To sum up, The hotel is idealy situated for all ameneties and we shall have no second thoughts about returning, it deserves more than its 2 star rating.

Great location, near to the town and the promenade and all on the flat. Friendly staff and room was big. Only downside was the squeaky floorboards and the shower which had such little power it was like a dripping tap.

Room Tip: We had a back room on the 3rd floor and it was very quiet

This hotel was quite incredible. The food was delicious, the staff excellent and the location ideal.

It only cost me £117 for a 3 night stay in a double room. The room was not the best I'd stayed in as the walls were paper thin. This hotel would not be a good choice for a light sleeper.

The hotel is the sister to the Revere Hotel, a couple of doors along. This is the higher star of the two. Guests at the Stafford can use the swimming pool and dining facilities at the Revere.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The rooms were clean but quite dated.

Reception staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Would definitely return.

Room Tip: If its basic comfort, this hotel is ideal, but if you are a light sleeper you would be advised to lo...

The hotel is a strange mix. The rooms are quite large and spotlessly clean but sheets and blankets are still used, and the shower is an old style contraption fixed to the taps. Not only is it hard to regulate the temperature but as there is no shower screen or curtain you can't help
soaking the floor. However on the positive side the staff are superb and are the most pleasant and helpful we've met at any hotel. Additionally the food is absolutely superb with great choices of evening meal and ample portions. The buffet style breakfast is also great as you can choose what and how much you want rather than being served a large breakfast consisting mainly of things you don't want. Overall the hotel is excellent value and other supposedly better hotels would do well to come here to learn how to treat guests.

Returned yesterday from a four night stay. The hotel is in a reasonably central location and staff were friendly and welcoming but the hotel has seen better days and is very 'tired'.

Our room complete with avocadao bathroom suite was on the small side with some ageing pre-pack cupboards and drawers along with a built in wardrobe. Unusually in this day and age the beds still had blankets and sheets rather then duvets. The carpet seemed quite old and was marked in places. The room was quite warm when we first entered but we were unable to open the windows fully for fear of the pigeons that sat on the window ledges coming in.

Breakfast was selfe service with both continental and cooked breakfast available. But why oh why did the hotel insist on all the tables (2's or 4's) being placed in regimented rows with literally six inches between you and the neighbouring table, when the dining room was quite large.
The hotel seemed to have just three staff to attend the dining room and the bar so trying to get a drink was nigh on impossible in the evening whilst dinner was being served. Whilst we were there only on a B&B basis one or two people who were on half board said that the evening meals were "so-so".

We only paid £249 for two people for four nights B&B accommodation so price wise for Jersey it was reasonable and about what we expected for the money.

Its rated 2 stars. The bedrooms are large or at least ours was. But the en suite bathroom was in ancient avacado. The bath had a white side panel the toilet seat was white plastic the cistern had lost its original top which had been replaced by a white one which did not quite fit. The bath was in realty a shower as there was no way of filling it and it had a fixed shower head. This meant that to get in and out it was necessary to step into the bath, which might have been difficult for the less agile.
The bedroom was a family room with a double and two single beds. If there were four people occupying it it might well feel a bit crowded.
Criticism over, The staff were great, very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Dining room large and light. Food great. We stayed half board. Breakfast put any 4 star hotel i have stayed at to shame. So we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Its handy for town and bus station not far away. Sea front 3 mins walk.
We spent a week there. My wife and I are both retired.

Room Tip: The hotel does not do views. Rooms overlooking the streets can be noisey we were told. Family rooms...
