We ate here based on reviews on Tripadviser. Found the prices to be greatly inflated. to get 50%
discount. you have to buy 2 side orders at over £7 each per person. The fish kebab was over cooked and cold and the veg was cold and cooked to mush and 1 mixed fish in the same condition. We had 2 starters of mussels. 2 mains and 3 drinks (2 small beers and 1 glass of wine) and the bill including £3.95 for one portion of bread was £92 before the discount. There a lot better places to eat with genuine offers in the area. VERY POOR QUALITY FOR A SO CALLED FRESH FISH RESRAUNT.

really excellent food and everything half price including drinks (although drinks prices have been set high). Not as busy as the other fish restaurant at the other side of fish market. Difficult to find because address is wrong! It should be: 1-6,Fish Market(Minden Place entrance). Not posh looking but you must go.

We visited this restaurant whilst on holiday in Jersey, having previously enjoyed a meal in the little place at the other end of the market on another holiday we decided to return again, however the 50% offer and more generous space of the Blue Ocean at the minden place end of the fish market caught our eye so we decided to try it.

The food was excellent, the moules I had as a starter were some of the best I'd had - perfectly cooked and the scallop main was wonderful , my fiancée enjoyed the sautéed squid and mixed fish with equal delight.

The waiting staff were attentive with out being overbearing and when we couldn't make up our mind on what puddings to have he sorted it for us!!

The 50% deal topped of the evening, just over £40 for 3 courses for 2 people and a bottle of wine, you'd be hard pressed to beat that price!! However even without the deal I would happily return.

When we visited this restaurant it had just changed hands and everything was 50% off. The food was well-cooked, and plentiful although the half-lobster was quite small. The restaurange is run by Portugese (Madeiran) who were very attentive and friendly. I don't know how I would feel if I had been paying full price for the meal - perhaps they should keep the 50% discount permanently! Situated in the town's fish market, the restaurant itself is pretty quirky and gives the impression of being a boat within a building. Quite basic but well worth a visit. We went there twice during our 5 night stay!

We had a fantastic feast of fish tonight - an amazing Coquilles St Jacques (time for a revival), fish estafado, lobster, sea bass - all cooked to perfection! A really good value Portugese restaurant - and 50% off everything (including wine). Exceptional service - friendly staff. We had a lovely evening here!!
