“Great value charming hotel with excellent breakfast.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2010

We stayed here for two nights for a stag weekend.
Most of us aged forty so a comfortable hotel was all we needed,But on arrival we were pleased and somewhat surprised with this charming hotel full of character.
Staff were fab and best of all the breakfast was excellent with a great choice.
Shower was powerful and plenty of hot water .
My only concern would be the location for some people it is a walk to the main shopping centre but i personally found it no problem as I like walking,But ok for the beaches.

Stayed in room 4 last night - It was very small – and stuffy with a stain (bodily fluid) on the bed cover - even worse was the HEAT!! - with no heating switched on in the room the temperature from the pipes running under the floor was overwhelming – I had to sleep with the window wide open leading to lots of noise from a fairly busy street outside – late night revellers and workers in the morning – avoid this room at all cost - Jersey has better - I will not be going back – even if they paid me

We chose the Revere because it seemed a slightly quirky but quiet and well appointed hotel . It is well positioned , and up until the last night , I would have given it a very good rating but i downgraded it because we came back on the Saturday evening to find there was to be a medieval banquet in the hotel . It was very short notice but we were going out anyway so no great problem .However the medieval banquet had a disco afterwards which was VERY LOUD.and went on to the early hours

Our room was directly above , there was no escaping the noise . We were offered a different room which was not very useful at 11.00 at night and we were leaving the next day . It left a sour taste in the mouth because it was so out of keeping with the rest of our stay. It was not the sort of place which would have naturally attracted that type of clientele and I would not have picked it if i had thought they were going to have that sort of function directly under our room

It sounded quite a good function but it was so loud I could not hear the telly in our room over it , so to us it was really annoying and was a disappointing end to our stay . I would recommend the hotel but check first if they have a function on

Although the hotel is a little dated it does add to its charm. All the staff were most helpful and willing to please.
The restaurant served excellent value meals in pleasant surroundings.
Avery well situated hotel which is well worth a visit

Wow we have just returned from a 2 night stay at this beautifull Hotel,we booked a 4 poster
room for a romantic break away and we was amazed by the standard of the room.
Top floor number 44 no lift so no good if you have walking difficulties the room is huge!!
On its own floor very clean and spacious I had pre requested this via email after seeing the photos on the website. We booked in at the candle light for our evening meal £19.95 for 3 courses such good value and the service outstanding. Will definatley be going back to this hotel the whole weekend was fabulous and we truely fell in love with Jersey.
The airport bus is just £1.50 to the hotel bus no;15 every 15 minutes,so if you are looking for a romantic hideaway book the Revere.

we stayed for our wedding anniversary and could on;y get babysitters for one night so were very careful choosing where to stay. I wanted somewhere cosy and romantic and chose the Revere over other similar priced hotels like the club hotel spa. Glad I did because we had a lovely time, paid £20 supplement for the 'honeymoon suite' room 44 which is on the top (4th) floor by itself. Unless you genuinely have trouble walking, or are extremely lazy, there is no problem with walking 4 the small flights of stairs, which some reviewers have commented on..they are a bit narrow but so what?

The staff had left us a bottle of chilled champagne with their complimenst which was a lovely touch, and the room was fine; flat screen tv, tea coffee making facilities, ironing board, comfy four poster bed, plenty of wardrobe space, what more do you want?

The view out to the street and multi storey car park wasn't breathtaking but what do you expect in st helier? krakatoa erupting? (copyright J Cleese)

The most impressive aspect was the friendliness and genuine warmth of the staff, every one of them was courteous, approachable and a credit to their profession; at the end of a long season they were still attentive and eager to please; both reception and restaurant staff. The bar area is very quaint and oldy worldy, we had a drink there before a great meal in the candlelight, 2 whole lobster for £64, very good service and a typical Jerseywide '70s menu with chateubriand, and prawn cocktail to start if you like! B

Breakfast was equally impressive with very nice sausages, hash browns, beans egg tomato bacon as well as the traditional cereal fruit and juices/tea/coffee.

A couple of minutes walk to the shopping area of st helier and the seafront, they give you a free little map of the island and st helier to wander around with, and we had a lovely long walk around st aubins bay and over to the castle which you can only do at low tide.

overall i would definately recommend this hotel, I can't comment on the supposed noise from any nearby club that i've read elsewhere on here,as we stayed only friday night and heard none.

The one element I would make anyone aware of was in the bathroom, I'm only 5ft 7" and I was nearly touching the ceiling when I stood in the bath to take a shower, anyone over 5ft 10" would have to stoop! This is not a criticism, just a quirk of the hotel which made us laugh, I am recommending to my 6ft 7 friend that he stays here!!

The hotel looks nice on entrance, but the room is tiny, the mattress ancient, the shower ran cold (for half an hour) and the room was ridiculously hot on a mild day. I dread to think what it would have been like after a hot summer's day. What annoyed me was the fact that I tried the shower in the evening and told them in didnt work, they said they had checked it and "just let it run for 15 minutes". There was no bath so it was a cold shower to wake me up (having had little to no sleep due to the heat).
