This is a traditional tea room with extensive café menu. We had a delicious homemade soup, homemade fishcakes with salad and a tasty Panini. The food was served piping hot by an immaculately clean looking chef from the kitchen. Rosie was welcoming and offered attentive service (the tea last which was great) and the café was at the end of a busy lunch service. We went in just before 2pm which was ideal for us, and a little quieter than the lunchtime rush therefore easier to navigate our buggy. We had never been in before and were welcomed warmly. The food was freshly cooked (we could see the chefs) and generous in size. We had no room for cake as the portions were great value but the carrot cake looked particularly tempting. Also noticed a blackboard of specials to complement the extensive menu in place. Great value in a cosy atmosphere, reflected by the number of diners leaving gratuities for Rosie! We will certainly go back again.
