As a regular business traveller to Jersey this is a must visit every time. This week I dined there twice and recognised a couple of faces there on both occasions which speaks volumes.
Tucked in the Fish Market it may not look great as you approach, with the market all closed down for the night, but once inside it is spotless, cosy, very tastefully fitted out and unpretentious.
But it is ALL about the food. Gabriel is like a magician. How he creates seafood dishes in the kitchen area on full view is a joy to watch.
There is a very reasonably priced 3-course Set Menu with 3-4 choices per course or go al-a-carte.
If you are really hungry try the Warm Avocado and Seafood starter, or share some grilled Sardines or Moules mariniere.
All the seafood is excellent but ask for the Paella, even if you don’t see it on the menu. Or keep it simple with Sea Bass or Sole beautifully prepared
To finish, you must leave room for the Crème Brulée. This is not something I normally order elsewhere, but this is something else. Must be the Jersey cream! In the unlikely event that you are still hungry the Tiramisu or a slice of homemade Gâteau will solve that issue.
To help this all down, a bottle of Petit Chablis or Vinho Verde.
Afterwards you will be grabbing your diary to figure out how and when you can return for more.
