“Oh good grief why did they spend our money on this.”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

Had to write a review, £250k of our cash for a 'steam clock' which does not run on steam. Looks totally out of place and does not fulfilll its function as the only places you can read the time from are outside Normans and at the back of the Maritime Museum. Rubbish!

“Great to see”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

was brilliant to see.

despite a very cold end of Feb/Beginning of March, on visiting clock it looked good and sounded out the watches. A nice part of St Helier

“Bemused!”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

We arrived at the clock at approximately ten minutes to 5 hoping to see the clock in action. Unfortunately, the time soon ticked past five o’clock and it remained silent. It is an interesting, curious piece but a bit redundant unless you get to see it ‘go off.’

“Very interesting , historic”

Great part of the history of Jersey. It was great to see what clocks in the past looked like and to be able to look inside and see how the mechanisms worked

“Steam Clock in St Helier”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

The steam clock is near the maritime museum so if you are near the musuem or visiting it then take a few seconds to see the clock. I would not say it is a number 1 attraction or even in the top 100 but it is around the harbour in St Helier and you will probably walk past it at some time!
