Only dropped in for here, as I do with many a pub, for a simple drink. The food menu looked great but it was mid afternoon so I only wanted a drink. The atmosphere was great and the service the same. A comfy feel and worth a visit.

Ate here tonight ,we were left very disappointed .Asked if the Veggie burger was an actual burger ,to be told yes ,and then to recieve the dish minus a Veggie Burger just some mushrooms and Brie !!..the chips supposedly The Best Homemade Chips, well they were awful!! Soggy and greasy. Coleslaw was tasteless .
Gammon was thin slices of COLD HAM .
Ribs were good.

Went on a Sunday , no problem with a table. My Wife had the plowmans lunch and I had the beef roast. Excellent food and plenty of it and not over expensive.

The place is a very old school traditional charming British pub, good selection of beer and ales, the place was busy and booking is a Must, our food due to the business took over an hour for sandwiches to arrive, they were average as well as the service

This is my favourite local pub that serves restaurant food rather than just 'pub food'. The service is brilliant and the food is consistently good. I can highly recommend the house burger, the Espetadas, the steaks and they always have a good specials board. They do a good Red Snapper on the specials board! They restaurant side is lovely and really cosy and they serve our favourite beer, Erdinger! Steve and his team do a brilliant job. There is also lots of Parking right outside! The menu has suggestions of which wines would be best to accompany the certain dishes which is helpful. Also, even if you don't fancy eating a big lunch and dinner you can picks things like olives etc off the menu. The best pub for food & drink in the Island!
