Having stayed at The Revere hotel many times, the welcome to their restaurant was as expected - extremely warm and friendly. The bar host Tony, one of the most entertaining and efficient barmen on the island of Jersey recognised me from previous visits more than 3 years ago and treated us like long lost friends. The Tenerfest menu was spectacular compared to some of the other restaurant menus we perused, and they even extended the Tenerfest spirit to two fabulous wines at a tenner a bottle. Superb food, superb value and a warm and relaxed atmosphere - can't ask for more. Definitely on our list for next years Tenerfest.

I've been dinning last night with my wife in this lovely restaurant. From the entrance we observed the fantastic atmosphere which we felt it was created especially for us.

The staff was very polite from the beginning till the end of our evening. The food was fantastic so we'll definitely be back on another occasion. Both , Mihai - the manager and Alex- i think his assistant , were exceptional in preparing our main course Chateaubriand which was delicious.

Well done to everyone and thank you for this beautiful experience. Tony & Mona

This is a splendidly old fashioned restaurant serving good though not spectacular food. The service, speed and friendliness of the service is really first rate without being too intrusive. It has a lovely ole world ambience helped along by piano playing which may not be to everyone's taste. We had a fixed price memo for 17.50 which was fantastically good value. Would recommend.

We dined at The Candlelight restaurant on our gourmet weekend for my husband's birthday treat.
We were not impressed from the beginning. Maybe it was an off day.
The table we had purposely gone in to book the night before, had been taken on our arrival, and the embarrassed staff scurried around to find another suitable table.
When seated eventually we ordered some white wine, but when our starters arrived my husband mentioned we hadn't had our wine yet. The waitress apologised and said she'd get it, but came back to ask us which wine we had actually ordered. So we re-ordered the wine half way through the starter.

The Mains arrived, Rack of lamb carved at the table for my husband, and Steak diane flambéed beside the table for me, all very well executed, and all delicious.

When the bill arrived there was an additional large glass of Merlot on it, which we hadn't ordered or had. When we bought it to their attention the waitress apologised again and told us it was "The bill runover from the previous diners" ... Really!
Not too impressed with this restaurant. Wouldn't rush back here.
