We tried to get into this restaurant on our first night in St Helier, but unfortunately for us, the restaurant was fully booked. At least we were sensible enough to book for later in the week - and we were so glad. The food and the atmosphere were absolutely superb. A tremendous welcome from the Manager, followed by excellent service and food what more can you ask for. My husband who is a big meat/fish eater was just lost for choice and said his food was delicious. As a vegetarian I am used to just looking at the bottom of the menu and having the one thing available, but not at Doran's. The superb Tempura Veg was just wonderful, so much so that we booked there and then and went back the following night, which was our last night, otherwise we would have gone back again!!!

We had dinner at Doran's on the first night only because the half board set up with the next door hotel (revere), the hotel doesn't serve food on a Monday so they send you next door. If we wasn't on a half board we would have eat there every night. The food is fantastic, the staff just as good. I aways feel a good Resturant should have a or some characters at Doren's you won't be disappointed Ben the Resturant manager was brill quick witted and great at his job. The decor was fab we sat at the captains table great just for a quite two but if you want to be in the thick of it sit somewhere else.

We went here for dinner, the food was amazing. We had the famous potted bread which was the tastied bread i have ever tasted and had been cooked in a flowerpot! We both had big steaks with truffle and garlic butter which was sooo good too! The waiters were great too, chatty, fun and freindly and the decor made the atmosphere really cosy, it was just lovely!

My husband and I visited Dorans on our first day in Jersey after checking the reviews on trip advisor. We were not disappointed, Dorans has a Great relaxed fun atmosphere thanks to Ben and his team. We started with the potted bread which was warm and served with jersey butter, we couldn't leave it alone! We then shared the sea food platter which was again lovely. We will definitely visit Dorans again on our next trip to Jersey.

Visited here few weeks ago as it was an old favourite, food was good but service was too relaxed and no attention to detail, our starters came with the bread missing so had to ask for it then our main course came without our potatoes we asked the waitress if they were coming and she did not understand us as her English was poor so she got the manager and he apologised and went to see where they were, the potatoes came when we were finished our meal but too late and we did not have them, the manager apologised and offered us a free sweet which was nice of him.
We were very disappointed with the service the male waiter and the manager were more interested with going out for cigarettes than anything else. I do not like to smell stale smoke from a waiter walking pass me around every 10 minutes while eating my meal.
I don't think we will be back shame really, it's not the food that spoils this lovely place it's the staff.
