We stayed at Windmills for the May Bank Holiday weekend, while attending a wedding in St Aubins. Windmills was perfect for us, everyone was incredibly helpful, the hotel was immaculately clean, tasty cooked breakfast and a cold but still inviting pool to clear the fuzzy head of the night before! It's a 5-10 minute walk down the hill (and sadly back up again....) to St Brelades Bay, which is as beautiful a stretch of sand as you'll see, backed by lovely restaurants and hotels.

My only slight gripe is that the shower was pretty lousy, which is no doubt a water pressure thing but if a decent blast of spray is important to you, you won't be too happy! Everything else more than makes up for it though, and we'd definitely stay again. And you make sure you book a sea view room - just waking up to that view every day makes you feel very lucky and a very long way from home!

This hotel has one of the best views over st brelades bay. Great location - short drive from airport and short walk to beach. The pool was a good temperature and not too busy. The food choice was very good and there is modern comfortable seating outside so you can eat while looking out over the beach. Breakfast was very good - lots of variety and very friendly staff. Room was very clean with flat screen tv. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

My husband and I stayed at Windmills Hotel for 5 nights the first week of October. We enjoyed our stay very much - despite the wet weather. The hotel, dining, stunning views, friendly and helpful staff made our stay very pleasant. Our room overlooked the bay and hotel grounds (pool and patio) with a small balcony. Shame the weather wasn't warmer.

Since it was our first visit to Jersey and we did not have a car we were relying on public transport to get around. Unfortunately the buses switched to their Winter schedule on the weekend we arrived. We found that the Explorer routes had been taken off and some other routes had very long waits between buses (2 hours!), so we had to rely on the closest bus (short walk from hotel) to take us into St. Helier. From there we were able to take #1 bus to Gorey one day - pretty town with small harbour and ancient castle. We would like to have seen more of the island but the bus schedules and weather were against us. Perhaps the next time!

The Jersey people are very friendly, the architecture is beautiful and the coastal scenery is dramatic.

Our first time at the Windmills hotel and everything was A-1! Food, staff, cleanliness, comfort - the lot! Steve & Jane were charming and extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble, it seemed. Would recommend unreservedly!

Room Tip: Go for a sea view!

The Windmills is a clean, well kept 3 * hotel. The rooms are tidy and comfortable. The hotel is located in a quiet part of St Brelades and it's about a 10minute walk to the beach.

To get the best out of this hotel try and book a room with a view - as the views are stunning.

Easy to get to from the airport by bus and easy to get to St Aubins and St Helier, just jump on the number 15 or you can walk the route in about 2 hours along the coast.

Breakfast is ok - no complaints.

Room Tip: We had room 27 for the 2nd day and it looks out over the pool and bay - brilliant views
